1. Jiuli Divine Pillar
Li is the symbolic pillar of the Miao people. It is carved from white marble and has a total height of 24 meters, symbolizing a year. Four seasons, twelve months and twenty-four festivals, implying a happy reunion. The pillars are carved with various statues of the 36 ghosts and 72 gods worshiped in the ancient songs of the Miao people (i.e., 36 heavenly plows and 72 night monsters). These ghosts and gods are the protectors of the Miao people. The base of the stone pillar is 3 meters in diameter. It is the tallest and largest Miao stone pillar in the world with the most carved figures. It is carved from white marble and took 30 stonemasons more than eight months to complete. It is the minority totem pole with the most carved figures at present.
2. Jiuli Palace
Li Jiugong made scientific use of the natural resources of mountains and rivers, adapted to local conditions, built momentum around the mountains, and retreated into the mountains and forests. The palace is 99 meters high and 11 bays wide, symbolizing the unity of nine and nine. The architectural forms range from courtyard houses to stilted buildings to Tian Chong Building. Jiuli Palace has many cultural symbols such as Miaojie Dragon Hall, Shalou Hukou Hall, Siheyuan, Eight-character Chaomen, and Diaojiaolou Group. It is a museum in Pengshui that displays Miao culture and folk customs. It is currently the largest group of stilted buildings.
3. Nine gates
There are nine city gates built along the ridge. From a distance, they are spectacular. Each of the nine gates has a patchwork of architecture and a different shape. There are three stone doors, three wooden doors, and three brick and wooden doors. They are named after the Jiuli tribe: Yimen, Yumen, Fangmen, Huangmen, Baimen, Hongmen, Xuanmen, Fengmen and Yangmen. "Nine Gates" is the only one in the world that uses heaven, earth, five elements - metal, wood, fire, water and earth as materials and Feng Shui symbols. It faces north, showing the majesty and magnanimity of Jiuli City. Each door is engraved with totems about Miao folk culture, historical stories and folk auspiciousness. The carvings on the soap are exquisite and lifelike, including birds, animals and ancient figures. They are the myths and legends of the Miao people and the images of the ghosts, gods and animals they worship. There is a saying in the Miao family that "three halls are not as important as one door", which means that building three halls is not as important as building a brand door.
