Hong Xiuquan (1814-1864), formerly known as Hong Renkun and Hong Huoxiu, was originally from Fuyuanshui Village, Huaxian County, Guangdong (now Huadu District, Guangzhou City), and later moved to Guanlubu Village. Hong Xiuquan was the leader of the Taiping Peasant Rebellion. He established the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and was called the "King of Heaven". In 1853, he made Nanjing the capital and renamed it Tianjing. He died of illness in Tianjing in 1864. The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom perished shortly after his death.
According to Fu Lici, a British translator and acting consul in Ningbo who was not hostile to the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, he recorded in his "Travel Notes on Tianjing": "The king of heaven has a crown, made of pure gold, weighing eight There is also a chain of gold necklaces, also weighing eight pounds. His gold-embroidered dragon robe also has gold buttons. He ascends from the inner palace to the main hall and rides in a golden chariot, called the Holy Dragon Chariot, held by beautiful women. Let's go..." The ancestors of the Hong family were just farmers. Why did Hong Xiuquan become so rich and famous? Does this have anything to do with the location of the Hong family's ancestral tomb? Does Hong Xiuquan's downfall have anything to do with the digging of his ancestral tomb?
Hong Xiuquan's ancestral tomb Located on Furongzhang Mountain in the north of Huaxian County, Guangdong Province, Furongzhang is located in the north of Furong Town, with an altitude of 360 meters. It is among the mountains in the north of the county. The peaks overlap and resemble a hibiscus. And because it stretches on the back of the plain in the center of the county and is lined up like a screen, it is called Furongzhang. To the south of the mountain, there is "Baishuihuo Waterfall", also known as "Xishan Waterfall". It looks like Bailian pouring down five levels from a height of 50 meters, splashing rocks and flying flowers, pouring into the pool with a roaring sound. A scholar once said, "A section of cloud hangs in the cliff, and the green mountain is divided into jade dragons. It is difficult to detect the overwhelming force of the river, and the sound of wind and thunder is horrifying. When the summer heat is chilling, people touch the sky with rocks and rain..."
Although Furongzhang is a geomantic treasure, few outsiders have known about it for a long time. Later, Furongzhang gradually became famous after being discovered by Lai Buyi, a Feng Shui master. Lai Buyi was born in Fenggang Village, Dingnan, Jiangxi Province, around 1276, at the end of the Song Dynasty. He was born into a famous Feng Shui family. His original name was Lai Wenjun, and Buyi was his self-title. When he was young, he received the true biography from his father Lai Chengshan. At the age of 18, he traveled around the world and made a living by practicing Feng Shui. He was very happy to discover that the "Dragon Vein" extended southward in the mountains of northern Guangdong and was so majestic that he determined to follow the "Dragon Vein". He followed the "Dragon Vein" out of Nanxiong, crossed Qujiang, went down to Yingde, crossed Qingyuan, entered the northern mountainous area of ??Huashan, and came to Furongzhang. Seeing the extraordinary momentum, he thought this was the "knot" of the dragon's veins. Before leaving, he chanted a verse: "The lotus peak is above my head, and the earth altar is under my feet. There is a shipwreck post on the right, and an orioles and bees' sinuses (which means 'caves') on the left. The turtles guard the mouth of the water, and the lions and elephants guard the gate tower." Whoever is buried well will be a prince and prince for generations to come."
