Architectural Features of Quzi Temple

Quzi Temple covers an area of about seven or eight acres, with three entrances to the main hall, a pavilion between the middle and younger generations, and patios around the front, back, left and right. There are two osmanthus trees in the courtyard, which are over 200 years old. The architecture of the temple is brick and wood structure, solemn and simple, solemn and elegant. On the wall of the corridor, there are many stone tablets engraved with Qu Yuan's poems and songs.

Quzi Temple is a brick-wood structure, facing south, with three entrances. There is a three-hole gate in front of the temple and a memorial archway in the middle. It is inlaid with five dragons holding white hanging stones and engraved with the words "Quzi Temple". There are 17 reliefs about Qu Yuan in Chengmen Square and gable, such as the fisherman's heart-to-heart talk and Huai Sha's throwing himself into the river. Entering the nave from the main entrance, you can see a huge carved screen with the full text of Sima Qian's Biographies of Historical Records and Qu Yuan engraved on it, and a horizontal plaque of "Striving for the Bright Future of the Sun" is hung on the upper beam. There are couplets of Song Tao and Li in Qing Dynasty on the wooden pillars in the hall. There is a couplet written by Dong. A gilded statue of Qu Yuan was placed in the middle hall. It was 3 meters high. On the pillars on both sides, there is a sentence from Yu Liqun's book Guo Moruo's "Li Sao": "Set hibiscus as clothes and a hundred acres of trees; Yun Ni, a handsome man, came to the palace and will go to see the four wastes. " The East Wing and the West Wing are exhibition rooms. From the back of the hall, you can see Danchi, where there are two flower stands and a golden laurel tree. After Danchi arrived in the Second Jin Dynasty, the middle hall was a sacrificial hall with the sign of "The God of Qu Yuan, Doctor Chu". Through the shrine and out of the archway, you can see the pavilion, and the patio next to the pavilion is planted with gold, silver and laurel trees for more than 300 years. After that, you will enter three times, and there is a statue of Qu Yuan holding a sword in the middle hall. The wings on both sides of the nave have now become exhibition rooms introducing Qu Yuan's life, displaying Qu Yuan's works in different dynasties.

The whole building of Quzi Temple is a brick-wood structure supported by 56 wooden columns. The whole building hall, hall, pool, corridor, building and pavilion are integrated into one, with strict structure and fine carving. Quzi Temple now has eight showrooms, introducing Qu Yuan's life and works, Qu Yuan's relics in Miluo River area and the customs and habits of future generations to commemorate Qu Yuan.

There is a wide shiping in front of Quzi Temple, and there are stone steps 1 19 on the south side of shiping, which leads directly to Miluo River. There are memorial buildings such as Duxing Pavilion, Sao altar, Taohua Cave and Zhaoqu Pavilion around Quzi Temple. On the east side of the shrine, there are 356 inscriptions of contemporary famous calligraphy.
