The phenomenon of "obeying the demon" in ancient times: how did the ancients dress up and be considered as strange clothes?

For people nowadays, fancy clothes are actually a very common thing. Even if we walk in the street and see many people wearing ancient clothes, we just feel beautiful and don't feel anything strange. But if it was in ancient times, it was amnesia, and if it was serious, it would be punished, because the ancients specially invented a term to describe people who only wore strange clothes, and they said it was to serve the devil.

Hanshu thinks that customs are crazy and slow, and clothes are dressed. Some strange clothes that violate etiquette and are fashionable are called magic. But in fact, in ancient times, their clothing not only refers to wearing, but also includes accessories and decorations. The first is color. Now we can freely choose the color of clothes without any taboos. In public, in fact, as long as you don't wear that kind of red, purple or conflicting color, basically no one will notice what you are wearing.

But in ancient times, colors were given many special hierarchical meanings, and some colors were only available to the royal family. Therefore, if that person wears yellow clothes in the street, he will be regarded differently and arrested in the street, because he may think they have offended the emperor.

There is also the nonstandard style, because since the Western Zhou Dynasty, we have made detailed requirements on the style and length of the clothes we wear. So we see the Tang Dynasty, the Han Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty, the Song Dynasty and so on. Every dynasty, their clothes were different.

In addition to color and style, the collocation of clothing should also conform to the law, so the pattern on clothing is more common. If I don't conform to the rules, I will be treated differently.
