There are more than 30 such volcanoes in Datong area, which are distributed in Datong City, County and Yanggao County of Shanxi Province, and are divided into four regions: east, west, south and north. Jinshan, with its complete shape, is the best place for volcanic tourist attractions. Datong Volcano Group is one of the Quaternary volcanic groups in China, which stopped erupting about 60,000 years ago. There are more than 30 known volcanic groups, mainly distributed in the east of Datong Basin, which are divided into four regions: east, west, south and north. Among them, West Volcano, located in the northeast of datong county today, is the most dense and spectacular part of the volcanic cone landscape.
2. Daquanshan
Daquanshan Daquanshan is located in Dabaideng Town, south of Yanggao County 10 km, with hilly terrain and criss-crossing gullies. Daquanshan Village at the foot of the mountain was named according to Mao Zedong's instructions. Daquanshan * * has 8 mountains, 12 large gullies and 72 small gullies, with the highest elevation of 103 1 m. The terrain at home and abroad is complex, with mountains, ditches and slopes criss-crossing, belonging to loess hilly and gully region. Daquan Mountain has potential tourism development value in geological characteristics, ecological protection, human conditions and historical conditions.
3. Xiaolongmen
Xiaolongmen, like Wenying Lake, is a combination of Datong's historical culture and natural culture. Xiaolongmen is located 5 kilometers downstream of Ce Tian Reservoir Eco-tourism Scenic Area, belonging to Yanggao County, about 60 kilometers away from the urban area. The first volume of Datong County Annals compiled by Li Zhongfu in the tenth year of Daoguang contains Xiaolongmen Map.
4.Six Ridges Mountain
Liu Ling is located in the south of Yanggao County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, about 370 kilometers away from Beijing, and it takes about 5 hours by car. The highest peak is called Huangyangjian, with an altitude of 2420 meters. It is adjacent to Mount Hengshan in Beiyue, the first peak of Datong, and is called "the roof of Datong". At the top of the antelope tip is a huge and flat alpine meadow, which is 10 times the area of Haituo meadow.
5. Shoukoubao Great Wall
Shoukoubao Great Wall Shoukoubao is the Guan Bao of Datong Town, Great Wall in Ming Dynasty. Located in Yanggao County, Shanxi Province. According to historical records, it was built in the 25th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1546) and in Qin Long in the 6th year (1572). The city is "220 steps a mile and three feet high". There is only one door in the east of the city. Ming dynasty will be stationed here, guarding the Great Wall "Thirteen Li, Twenty-three side piers and Four Fire piers". During the reign of Qin Long in the Ming Dynasty, the Hanshan Khan was invaded, which made Datong Town in a state of emergency.
