How to raise goldfish without dying

I will tell you the key to raising goldfish at home: This is a summary of my experience in raising goldfish for more than 10 years. It is not a long article downloaded from the Internet. It may be helpful to you in raising goldfish in the future.

1. Feeding: They are fed nutritious animal feed and white sesame seeds. Animal feed such as water fleas, earthworms, yellow mealworms, caterpillars, skinworms, etc. The main feed is earthworms and white sesame seeds. Both red and black earthworms can be fed. You can feed mainly raw white sesame seeds. White sesame seeds are easily available. Goldfish love to eat, are easy to digest, and are not likely to pollute water quality. Do not feed low-quality goldfish feed that you buy. Because this kind of feed has too much starch, poor nutrition, is not easy to digest, and the water quality is easily polluted. If the goldfish is malnourished, the goldfish will grow slowly and get sick easily. Goldfish will not starve to death as long as they eat food that is easy to digest. When to feed, usually once in the morning and once in the afternoon every day. It is not advisable to feed more than once before eating all the food. Otherwise it will pollute the water quality.

2. Light: It is best to place the fish tank in a place with sunlight for 1-2 hours. This uses ultraviolet rays from sunlight to sterilize. Play a role in disease prevention. This reduces disease. Try to focus on fish disease prevention, supplemented by medication. At the same time, due to photosynthesis, the color of the fish body is also brighter and more beautiful.

3. Change the water: Change the water frequently to increase the dissolved oxygen in the water. When changing the water, you can only change one-third to one-fourth. You cannot change a lot at once, as the fish will not adapt. It is important to keep the water in your aquarium clear. Only when there is sufficient dissolved oxygen in the water can fish grow and grow quickly. Otherwise, it will stop growing or even die. There is no final answer on when to change the water. It can be determined according to the water quality. If the water quality is turbid, change it more often, otherwise change it less.

4. Stocking density: Domestic rectangular aquariums are small in size and must not be stocked too much. It is better to keep less than too many. For example, in a container with a length of 40 cm, a width of 25 cm, and a height of 30 cm, 6 to 8 small goldfish of 5 to 7 cm in length can be raised. For example, a round glass tank with a diameter of 26 cm and a height of 13 cm can support 4 to 6 small goldfish of 4 to 6 cm. Adult fish whose body length exceeds 8 centimeters should not be raised in small glass tanks. Instead, they need to be raised in large glass tanks or ceramic tanks with a small oxygenator as backup to prevent hypoxia. These stocking densities are only reference figures and are determined by the water temperature, the strength of the fish and the quality of the water, and cannot be done mechanically. Generally speaking, fish are large and should be raised in small numbers; more should be raised in winter and less in summer; more should be raised when the water temperature is low, and less should be raised when the water temperature is high. If you master the above-mentioned points for raising domestic goldfish, you will be able to keep the goldfish healthy and lively, with bright colors, swim in the water, and be loved by others, so that you will never tire of it and have endless fun. I will definitely be able to raise you well. I wish you success.
