Shenyang was an important town in Liaodong in the Ming Dynasty. When Nurhachi chose Shenyang as the new capital, it was already in the hands of Jurchen. Shenyang is a medium-sized city with relatively flat terrain and few people, mainly because of its superior geographical position, which plays an important role as a military base.
Therefore, apart from the reasons of geomantic omen, the strategic position of Shenyang, in Nurhachi's view, is also the King of Khan, and there is no large palace of its own, which makes no sense in face. So Nurhachi decided to build his own palace, the Forbidden City, in Shenyang. When Nurhachi made this decision, the first person who came to mind was Hou Zhenju, who had offered himself a glass jar and a green glazed bowl.
Hou Zhenju is a skillful craftsman. His glazed products are the best in the world, so Hou Zhenju, as the designer and builder of Shenyang Forbidden City, began to work hard with many craftsmen.
Unfortunately, Nurhachi Shoulu was not long enough. He just decided to build a house and died. In the autumn of 1626, Nurhachi was in but before he could conquer, he was dead. The cause of his death has also become a great mystery in history.
