Lingkong Mountain, also known as Jiuding Mountain, is located 30 kilometers northwest of Qinyuan County, Shanxi Province. Jiuding Mountain is named after nine strange peaks. The name "Kong Ling" has a historical allusion. According to legend, Li Ya, the fourth son of Tang Yizong, fled to Jiuding Mountain in Qinyuan in the sixth year of Ganfu (879) to avoid the Huang Chao Uprising. Seeing that the trees here are lush and inaccessible, I cut my hair and became a monk here. After Li Ya's death, she often appeared in the mountains. In case of drought, people from Qinyuan and Pingyao counties come to the mountains to pray for rain, which is said to be very effective. So Li Ya's name is becoming more and more famous. Li Ya was called the Rain King in the later Tang Dynasty and the Bodhisattva in the later Han Dynasty. Song Taizu also specially sent minister Luo to sacrifice, and since then, the incense has continued for years. Later, out of self-consolation, the locals hoped that Li Ya would appear in the air and bless the world with good weather and long life, so they renamed Jiuding Mountain Lingkong Mountain.

On Lingkong Mountain, there are three solitary peaks protruding, and two deep valleys under the peaks come from the west and the north, intersect and converge, and then turn to the southeast; The intersection of deep valleys forms a huge empty valley, just like an uncanny workmanship. An ancient temple, Kong Ling Temple, is embedded in a cliff facing a dangerous peak. There are five yards in the temple. Although many buildings have become broken walls, they are still spectacular. This temple was built in Jingfu, Tang Zhaozong two years ago. In addition to Kong Ling Temple, there is also a temple fairyland called "Mao 'an" in the mountains. The ancient poem goes: "The spiritual realm is full of flowers, and the meditation is biased, like the ancients, sleeping with a high pillow." "Mao An is built on a cave with four elegant rooms. Buddhist nun is clean and dusty, quiet and magical, as if it was a lifetime ago. There is a 100-foot deep valley in the southeast outside Maoan, and the two cliffs are less than three feet apart. There are natural stones across, and there are stone arch bridges on the stones, which are simple and beautiful. According to legend, the stone was placed by the Bodhisattva Li Huan, so this bridge is called Xianqiao. Climbing the fairy bridge is like walking through the clouds. There are several remains related to Li Biao on Lingkong Mountain. The cliff 100 feet south of the East Bell Tower is called "Snake Cliff". According to legend, Li Ya came here to explore. He saw five people playing chess under the cliff and asked them where the road was. Five people answered "this is the way", and Li Ya jumped down with her clothes on. Five people supported the chessboard, and Li Ya was safe and sound. It turns out that these five people were changed by the Five Dragon Kings in Shantang.

There are not only strange peaks and rocks in Lingkong Mountain, but also rare Gu Song. These vigorous autumn songs in Gu Song, each with its own form, are a must in the mountains. Among them, Shanxi's first pine tree "nine-pole flag" unearthed one pole and derived nine plants. Three people can't hold each other well, and the plants are straight and upright. There is an anonymous ancient poem describing Gu Song in Lingkong Mountain: "There are towering old trees all over the mountain, and there is no summer and no winter green. Suitable for rain, clouds and snow, and more suitable for peeping through trees every month. " These Gu Song, like this magical mountain name, are endowed with spiritual names. "A Furnace of Incense", "One Buddha and Two Bodhisattvas" and "Three Fairy Sisters" ... Together with this steep cliff, they form a harmonious picture of fairyland on earth.
