Mahu Geopark is located in the west of Yangtze paraplatform, at the junction of Sichuan-Yunnan north-south tectonic belt in southwest Sichuan and Neocathaysian subsidence belt in Sichuan Basin. The terrain is fan-shaped, high in the south and low in the north, high in the west and low in the east. It belongs to the strong cutting area of middle and high mountains, and the mountains extend from north to south and northeast.
The park is dominated by geological relics such as mountains, lakes, caves and dome basin structures, supplemented by canyon landscape, Three Kingdoms cultural sites and Yi culture, and harmoniously coexists with the original good ecological environment, forming a classical natural picture of China. Chalong Temple/Water Chalong
Hailong Temple was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1556) and rebuilt in the 48th year of Qing Qianlong (A.D. 1783). There are mainly three statues of Yi leaders, Meng Huo, Meng You and Mo Tie, which have been neglected in the turmoil and have been in disrepair for a long time. 1997, Leibo County People's Government allocated funds for local repairs. 1September, 1996, it was listed as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. In February 2007, the county people's government allocated 4 million yuan for a comprehensive renovation, remodeling three statues and some statues of Meng Huo, Meng You and Mo Tie. The Menghuo Hall of Hailong Temple is the only temple in China to commemorate the historical heroes of the Yi nationality, and it is an exemption for the unity, reconciliation and harmony of the Yi and Han nationalities.
Scarabs play in the water.
According to experts' research, a long time ago, Leiboma Lake with beautiful scenery was not a lake, but a modest river. I don't know what year and month, there was a strong earthquake in Huanglang area, and the mountains in the lower reaches of the river collapsed. Debris flow cut off the river, just like building a dam to stop the river. The water in the river was blocked and soon a lake was formed. The length of Mahu Lake is 5.63km, and the width from east to west is1.5km..

If you want to enjoy the scenery of Lake Leiboma, you must take a boat to the scenic spot where sows lie on the rocks. Woyan sow scenic spot is at the lake below Jingzhuzui Mountain on the east bank of Mahu Lake, up to ten meters from the water surface. Among the ten scenic spots in Mahu Lake, the sow lying on the rock is the most realistic.
The boat is rippling on the blue lake. There is a small cave under a boulder by the lake. There is a rectangular stone with a length of more than 2 meters and a width of 1 meter in the cave. It is shaped like a sow lying on its side to feed its piglets, hence its name.
The past year of 2007 was the Lunar Year of the Pig, but the relationship between pigs and people was very tense. The general rise in national prices is related to pigs. Therefore, the state issued a policy to subsidize 50 yuan for each sow. Not only that, but also vigorously support large pig farmers and solve their specific difficulties in raising pigs. At the lake Ma, many locals rowed to the scenic spots, burned incense for the sows in the caves, and prayed for the pig fairy to bless the pigs.
Gong Fei du
Tangjiashan in the east of Mahu Lake, with gentle terrain and tea trees everywhere, is the main producing area of Mahu green tea. The upper part of Tangjiashan is shrouded in fog for most of the year, and the top of the mountain towering into the sky. Under the clouds, the hillside descends slowly and extends to Mahu Lake. However, just where the mountain is about to enter the lake, the gentle hillside is divided into three hills. Among the three hills, one is smaller, shaped like a swan's head, and the two on both sides are larger, like the prominent wings of a swan. The three mountains are connected, just like a swan falling from the sky, heading straight for the water of Mahu Lake.
Uma guichao
Wumaguiguai Scenic Area is about 2 kilometers away from the east bank of Mahu Lake, and Jinhai Mountain on the east bank of the lake is connected with Guozi Mountain. Strange to say, at the junction of the two mountains, an arc-shaped open area has been formed. In the open field, there are five small ridges that are not connected with each other. These five small ridges have heads and bodies, and look like horses standing in front of the manger. The world calls it five horses returning to the trough.
