Essays on Zhuge Bagua Village's Prose

Every time I go to Hangzhou from Lishui and pass Lanxi Road, I can see the words "Zhuge Bagua Culture Village" flashing on the place name sign of the expressway. Over time, I suddenly have an inexplicable yearning. This time I went to Hangzhou via Lanxi, got off the expressway and finally came to Zhuge Village, which fulfilled my wish.

Zhuge Bagua Village is about18km away from Lanxi City. It is the largest settlement of descendants of Zhuge Liang, an outstanding politician, strategist and prime minister of Shu and Han dynasties in China. There are nearly 4000 descendants of Zhuge Liang living in the village. According to historical records, the overall pattern of Zhuge Village was designed and laid out by Zhuge Liang's 17th grandson, Zhuge Liang, who was proficient in Yin and Yang. There are more than 200 well-preserved ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties in the village, and 1996 was approved by the State Council as a national key cultural relic protection unit. It is an ancient village in the south of the Yangtze River integrating geography, landscape, architecture, aesthetics, medical culture and family culture. It is praised as "a strange village with eight diagrams and unique Chinese style" by Mr. Fei Xiaotong, a famous contemporary sociologist. Its unique village pattern reflects the ancestors' desire for "children and grandchildren to live and work in peace and contentment". The magnificent "Prime Minister's Temple" and "Grand Court" still seem to show the majesty of the clan's century-old governance of the village; Slightly ancient and quaint commercial streets and numerous drugstores are still confirming the footsteps of businessmen pioneers and a strong Confucian merchant complex; The residence of Zhuge Liang's descendants and the exotic plants and trees in their courtyard reveal the inheritance of ordinary people's farming and reading life. It can be said that Zhuge Bagua Village is like a yellowed old genealogy, recording a rich and mottled past, and also like a brand-new notebook, continuing to write a vivid and legendary today.

When we arrived at Zhuge Bagua Village and entered the village avenue, the antique Huizhou architecture came into view. The architectural style of "blue brick and gray tile horse head wall, fat beam and fat column boudoir" is elegant with special emotional appeal and charm, which has great visual impact. As there was no guide, we had to buy a book called "Guide to Zhuge Village" and got it. Although it took a lot of time, the comprehensive interpretation and taste of Zhuge Village was more profound and meticulous.

Zhuge Village is prosperous today because of Zhuge Liang. I think everyone will be familiar with Zhuge Liang. People's familiar words such as "strategizing" and "strategizing" seem to be synonymous with him. In a sense, Zhuge Liang is the embodiment of the wisdom of the Chinese nation, and his lofty integrity and dedication will be immortalized through the ages.

The first place we are going to is the "Prime Minister's Ancestral Temple" located in Julutang at the entrance of the village. According to villagers, there are 13 ponds similar to Julutang in Zhuge Village, and the whole village is divided into upper pond and lower pond centered on "middle pond". The "Prime Minister's Temple" was built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, with five temples. According to textual research, the founder is Zhuge Borong, the great-grandson of Master Zhuge. During the Jiajing period, his descendants built five bedrooms and four wings, and changed the original temple into a main hall. In the 11th year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (186 1), the ancestral hall was burned by Taiping Army. In the 19th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, Zhuge Mei began to rebuild, and in the 26th year of Guangxu, except nave, it resumed. In the 1920s, Zhuge Ruibiao organized the restoration and reconstruction again. The ancestral hall is 42 meters wide and 45 meters deep, covering an area of about 1.900 square meters. It is a unique ancestral temple in Lanxi, which consists of doors, corridors and halls, and forms a zigzag pattern with the square atrium in the middle.

The building of the Prime Minister's Ancestral Temple is the only specification that can be found among family ancestral temple, a senior official with three products or above, because Zhuge Liang, the ancestor, was once the Prime Minister of Shu Han, who was highly respected.

The main ridge of the gatehouse is engraved with four characters of grinding bricks, which symbolizes Zhuge Liang's distant descendants. The atrium in the ancestral hall is an independent open hall with four gold pillars with a diameter of about 50 cm in the middle, which are made of pine, cypress, phoenix tree and toon respectively, meaning "pine and cypress are in the same spring". It is the most important part of the ancestral hall, and it is also the place where sacrificial ceremonies are held. Along the back of the atrium on the platform, there are "Bell Tower" and "Drum Tower". Going up more than ten steps, there is the Hall of Happiness, right in the center, with a tall statue of Zhuge Liang, the ancestor, a feather fan and a black towel, which is kind and upright.

Out of the "Prime Minister's Temple", he came to the "Zhongchi" in the middle of the village. At the beginning of the village, Zhuge Village was originally named "Gao Long". It is generally believed that the name of "Gao Long" comes from Zhuge Liang's deeds of "serving a humble salary and tasting courage", which also means "distinguished people come from China". About the first half of the Ming Dynasty, with the development of Zhuge clan, it was renamed "Zhuge Village" according to the local custom of taking the surname as the village name.

The terrain of Zhuge Village is like a pot, which is low in the middle and gradually high around, surrounded by eight hills. The peculiar "Nine Palace Eight Diagrams Array" is cleverly laid out in this unique geographical environment. The gossip layout of ancient villages is centered on this "Zhong Chi". Eight alleys extend radially outward, forming an inner gossip, while eight hills around the village seem to be connected together, weaving an outer gossip.

Zhuge Bagua Village has a history of more than 700 years since Zhuge Liang's grandson Zhuge Master built the village in the middle and late Yuan Dynasty. The overall pattern of Zhuge Bagua Village has not changed so far, and it can be called a unique ancient building in China. Feng Shui endowed Zhuge Village with profound connotations. The natural environment, houses, wells and alleys form a double gossip, which highlights Master Zhuge's extraordinary artistic vision and ingenious ideas. Master Zhuge is well versed in Yin and Yang, and his core is the essence of China's ancient architectural theory. It is an ancient architectural design theory that integrates geology, ecology, landscape, architecture and aesthetics, emphasizing that the great power of nature directly affects people's health and the reproduction of future generations. The rise of Zhuge culture has greatly enhanced the cohesion and centripetal force of generations of Zhuge descendants. At the same time, the design of the overall layout of the village also has the characteristics of maze, which embodies its own defense function.

"Zhongchi" is surrounded by a "big hall" built to commemorate Zhuge Wuhou. It faces south, with five entrances and three bays, and the gate is arched. In the middle of the main entrance, there is a plaque in black on a white background, which reads "Shang Jing Post Office". There are two characters "loyalty" and "martial arts" on the auxiliary walls on both sides of the gate. On the wall of the Imperial Master of Sanjin Temple, the Book of Commandments written by Wuhou is written, and the famous sentence "Don't be indifferent, don't be peaceful, don't travel far" has become the motto of several generations of China literati. Against the backdrop of large white walls, gray tiles and a wave of clear water, the "big court" is dazzling and magnificent. The other three sides of "Zhongchi" are all kinds of shops lined up. In addition to the different snack bars opened in recent years due to the prosperity of tourism, these shops are more Chinese medicine shops and handicraft shops. Generally speaking, Zhuge culture always has its medical culture. "Either a good doctor or a good doctor" is the eternal ancestral motto of Zhuge family.

Some people say that ancestral training created a huge village of medicine, which is not unreasonable. The origin of pharmaceutical industry in Zhuge Village can be traced back to Wuhou. When Zhuge Liang crossed the barren land in Shanghai, he developed a "marching army powder" against boils, which undoubtedly played a vital role in his later generations' engagement in Chinese medicine. According to statistics, there were more than 30 famous doctors practicing medicine in Zhuge Village in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It's either a good sign or a good doctor. It's either a good doctor or a good medicine. In Zhuge Village, everyone is closely related to medicine and medicine. When we walked into "Tianyi Hall" and "Shouchun Hall", we felt this strongly.

After lunch, the group visited the "Herb Garden", "Nongjiale" and "Kongming Life Exhibition Hall" again along the winding stone road. In the "Herb Garden", I saw a hundred kinds of grass, which were various and colorful. In the "Farm Workshop" and "Kongming Life Exhibition Hall", we saw the rich local culture and "farming and reading" spirit of Zhuge Village.

"I went to work and started Wolong. I admire you today; Help make the bamboo yard clear and full of shade, and plan to make a thatched cottage and an exquisite clock. Yuan Junjie can understand things, and poetry can also ruin the front; If you are in the middle, if you are planning a strategy, you will definitely chase after the spring thunder. " When I recited Zhou Jing's beautiful poems, it was three o'clock in the afternoon when I walked out of the "Kongming Life Exhibition Hall". Because the trip can't stay long, the group can only turn around in three steps, reluctantly bid farewell to Zhuge Bagua Village and bid farewell to the "only one" in this world.
