Why do tiles appear empty drum?
1, caused by insufficient contact between ceramic tile and wall.
Insufficient contact between ceramic tile and wall and ground will make it lose its supporting force, resulting in insufficient bearing capacity, falling off, arching and cracking. Empty drums generally appear in the four corners of tiles, and you can judge by tapping the four corners and the central part of tiles with metal bars. If there is a crisp sound, you can judge that the tile is empty, but if the sound is dull, it means that the tile is laid firmly and there is no empty drum.
2. It is caused by uneven and unclean treatment at the grass-roots level.
When the tiles are laid, we must do a good job at the grass-roots level, which requires the grass-roots level to be flat and clean, so leveling is needed. If the grass-roots level is uneven, the unevenness will make the tiles unable to fully contact the low surface of the wall, thus affecting the cohesive force of the tile adhesive, leading to hollowing or even falling off.
3. Tile adhesive is soaked in water.
Many construction workers who have just come into contact with the ceramic tile adhesive will soak the mixed ceramic tile adhesive in barrels according to the way of treating cement mortar in the past, so as to prevent the material from drying too fast, which will make the ceramic tile adhesive absorb too much water, affect the strength and make the ceramic tile easy to empty.
