Wong Tai Sin (Taoist figure)

Huang Chuping (about 328-386), later called Wong Tai Sin, is one of the folk beliefs of the Han nationality. A famous Taoist immortal, his ancestral home is Huang Gan Village, Lanxi, Jinhua, Zhejiang, and his ancestral home is Chian, Yiwu, Jinhua, Zhejiang. It turned out that he was a local shepherd boy who herded sheep. He was trained as a Taoist immortal in Jin Huashan. In the Song Dynasty, it was named "Nourishing Su Shi". Widely spread in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Today, there is the Wong Tai Sin Ancestral Temple in Jinhua, Zhejiang, and the Wong Tai Sin Temple in Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
