1, former residence of Shen Congwen
190212 On February 28th, Mr. Shen Congwen was born in a typical southern ancient courtyard house in Zhongying Street, Fenghuang Ancient City. It was built by Shen Hongfu, the grandfather of Shen Congwen (the magistrate of Guizhou in Qing Dynasty), after demolishing an old residential building in the fifth year of Tongzhi (1866). The doors and windows with carved corners are small and chic and antique.
2. Xiong Xiling's former residence
Xiong Xiling was born in Fenghuang in the 9th year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (1870). In an alley in Wenxing Street to the north of the ancient city, less than 200 meters to the east is the beautiful Tuojiang River. The former residence covers 800 square meters. This is a bungalow building, which consists of a main room, a bedroom and a side room. There is a small courtyard at the main entrance of the main house, surrounded by several wing rooms. Doors, windows and walls are mostly made of wood with flowers or pictures engraved on them, which are elegant in shape and exquisite in workmanship. The house is not big, but the structure is exquisite. Although closed, it is not chaotic. It is a typical Miao ancient building format, full of Miao emotional appeal.
3. Yangjia ancestral hall
Yangjia Ancestral Temple is located between the East Gate Tower and the North Gate Tower of Tuojiang Town in Fenghuang Ancient City, at the entrance of Shi Jia Lane in North Street. The gate of Yang's Ancestral Hall is different from other ancestral halls. It's strange that it opens sideways. It turns out that the Yang family believes in geomantic omen, and the door is inclined to open, facing the Tuojiang River, which can make the ancestral business last forever and the world prosperous, such as the water of the Tuojiang River flowing continuously and thriving. Entering the gate, you can see the bull's head on the double doors and the woodcarving of bats on the gate. It is a sacrifice of Xiangxi people in Niutou, which is used to ward off evil spirits and bless peace. Bats bring good luck and good luck.
4. East Gate Tower
The East Gate Tower is one of the four gates of Fenghuang Ancient City. Located in the east of the city, facing Dongling and close to Tuojiang River, it is simple and elegant. It was founded in the fifty-fourth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (17 15). Its tower, imitating the front door of Beijing, is made of city bricks. There are two layers of holes outside, four on each floor, with a height of 1 1 meter. It is built on the mountain, and the lower floor has waist eaves, cornices and watchtowers. Its shape is solemn and majestic.

6. Fengyulou Hongqiao
Crossing with Minzu Street, it forms an ancient and urban picture of well customs, which is the stormy building of Hongqiao. Hongqiao is located on the Tuojiang River, and the wind and rain tower rises from the ground with its spectacular and beautiful appearance, which actually becomes an overlapping landscape. This landscape has a history of more than 600 years from bottom to top. This bridge was built in the early years of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty. 7. Wanshou Palace
Wanshou Palace, also known as Jiangxi Guild Hall, is located in Shawan, outside the scenic East Gate of Phoenix. It was built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and it was cleared for twenty years (1755). In the fourth year of Xianfeng (1854), Yang Si, a native of Jiangxi, built a pavilion on the west side; In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), Jianyang Building was built on the north side of the city gate. Wanshou Palace has formed a large-scale architectural community with exquisite design and unique carving.
