How did the name Lu Zhi come from?

There are four explanations for the origin of Lu Zhi's name:

1. It is said that Lu Zhi is also called "Six Branches". The ancient town is surrounded by Wusong River, Qingxiaojiang River, Jiepujiang River and Dongdajiang River, and is adjacent to Hucheng Lake, Dushu Lake, Jinji Lake, Dianshan Lake and Yangcheng Lake, so it is called "the Hall of Five Lakes" and "the Rush of Six Zes". Therefore, the locals call it "Liuzhi", and "Liuzhi" and "Luzhi" are homophonic in Wuzhong dialect. Later, it was gradually called "straight" in the local area.

2. It has something to do with Lu Guimeng, a poet of Tang Dynasty who lived in seclusion here. Because the local people remember him, "Lu Zhi" is also called "Liv". Lu Guimeng's Mr. Fuli is also called "straight" because there is a straight port in the east of the town, which connects six places. The water flows like the word "Li".

3. It has something to do with "Yaoduan". Yaoduan is an ancient unicorn. It is said that Yao Duan travels 18,000 miles a day, is familiar with four languages, knows far-reaching things, and specializes in geomantic treasures.

When the god beast visited the land of China, it passed through a straight line. When he saw that it was a piece of water grass with beautiful scenery, comparable to "Xanadu", it flowed down. God beast has a sense of auspiciousness. Since it came to a straight line, the weather here has been very smooth. People thanked the god beast, so it was called "straight line".

4. It has something to do with Dong Qichang, a painter of the Ming Dynasty. He was the most outstanding and influential painter in the late Ming Dynasty. He is good at Zen, poetry and painting. I usually like to visit Xishan and Dongting, and I have made many literati.

Dong Qichang is closely related to Xu Zichang, a drama master of Meihuazhuang in Fuli (present-day Lu Zhi). One day, he went to R&F to visit Xu Zichang, and when he got interested, he wrote a composition. When signing, he misspelled "Welfare" as "Lu Zhi". It is said that later generations made mistakes and simply changed the richness to "straightforwardness".
