"Zhong Nanshan" Don Wang Wei
The majestic Tian Yishan is close to Chang 'an, and the mountains continue to extend to the sea.
The white clouds merged behind, and the blue mist melted into the mountains and disappeared.
The central mountain peaks separate the southwest, and the valleys are also different.
Want to find a house to live in the mountains, is it convenient for the water guide to ask the woodcutter?
Second, translation.
1, the majestic Taiyi Mountain is near Chang 'an, which is connected with mountains and winds all the way to the seaside. White clouds wander in the air and look back, and green fog is lost in the mountains. The central main peak separates the south from the east and the west, and the valleys between mountains are different and varied. I want to find a family to live in the mountains. Is it convenient to ask the woodcutter across the water?
2. Zhong Nanshan: Located in the south of Xi, Shaanxi Province, it is one of the main peaks of the Qinling Mountains. The ancients also called Qinling Mountain the Mount Zhongnan. Qinling Mountain, which stretches for more than 800 miles, is the watershed between Weihe River and Hanshui River.
Taiyi: Also known as Taiyi, it is not only the main peak of Zhong Nanshan, but also the alias of Zhong Nanshan. "Yuanhe County Records" Volume 1: "Zhong Nanshan is in the south five miles of the county (Jingzhaofu Wannian). According to legend, there is a Taiyi in Zhong Nanshan, also known as Zhongnan. " In recent days: I still talk loudly and connect with the sky. Heaven, where the Emperor of Heaven lives. This refers to the imperial capital Chang 'an.
4. "Lianshan" sentence: Extreme words stop at Nanshan. Even the mountains are a "sky". Then, make a "yes". Corner of the sea (yú), by the sea. It is an exaggeration to say that the mountain will never go into the sea.
Zhong Nanshan's literary appreciation;
The most important thing in artistic creation is to show the individuals in the whole and seek perfection by being incomplete. The so-called "less is more" and "meaning is greater than image" by ancient painters all mean this. As a poet and painter, Wang Wei knows the secret, so he can vividly depict a huge Mount Zhongnan in only 40 words.
The first couplet, "Its huge height is close to the city of heaven, connecting Qian Shan to the corner of the sea", first exaggerates the outline of Zhong Nanshan. This rough outline can only be obtained from a distance, not from strong light. Therefore, this link is about writing a vision. "Taiyi" is another name for Zhong Nanshan. Although the south is high, it is far away. To call it "near the sky" is actually an artistic exaggeration. Looking from the flat ground to the south, its peak is indeed connected with the sky, so it is exaggerated to say that it is "near the sky".
The same is true of the corner of the sea where thousands of waters converge in Qian Shan. Zhong Nanshan starts from Tianshui City, Gansu Province in the west and reaches Shanzhou District, Sanmenxia City, Henan Province in the east, far away from the sea corner. It is untrue to say that it "meets the corner of the sea", and it is even more untrue to say that it "connects with other mountains until the corner of the sea". However, this is a long-term vision. Looking from Chang 'an to the south, there is no end in the west and no end in the east. Writing the final vision of South China with "connecting Qian Shan to the corner of the sea" is exaggerated but more and more true.
