Historical evolution of Xingbin District

In December 1949, it belonged to Liuzhou District. In 1952, it belonged to Yishan District. In 1953, Jiang County was moved to Laibin County.

In 1955, Yishan Prefecture was renamed Liuzhou Prefecture. The special office was moved from Qingyuan Town, Yishan County to Liuzhou City, and Laibin belonged to Liuzhou Prefecture.

In 1970, it belonged to Liuzhou area. In 1981, Beisi Commune was divided and established as county-level Heshan City.

On September 29, 2002, the State Council approved (Guohan [2002] No. 88):

(1) The Liuzhou region and Laibin County were abolished and the prefecture-level Laibin City was established. The Municipal People's Government is stationed in the newly established Xingbin District to construct avenues.

(2) Xingbin District was established in Laibin City, and the original administrative area of ??Bin County was the administrative area of ??Xingbin District. The District People's Government is located at Qianwei Road, Laibin Town.

On June 29, 2013, Mengcun Township officially withdrew from the township and established a town. After the adjustment, the district has jurisdiction over 3 streets, 7 towns, and 13 townships.
