The first word above is a self-titled portrait of Zen master Hui Yuan, abbot of Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, from which we can see his noble character.
Hui Yuan Zen master, commonly known as Peng, was born in Meishan Town, Sichuan Province. In the spring of Yi Mao (A.D. 1 135) in Shaoxing, Song Dynasty, the chief of Meishan asked him to be the abbot of Xiangershan, but he refused to go. In the fifth year of Daodao (AD 1 169), Zen master Hui Yuan stayed in Chongxian Temple in Gaoting Mountain, Hangzhou, and in Lingyin Temple the next year, and was awarded the title of "Buddhist Sea Zen Master". In the Song Dynasty, when Xi Chun Yi Wei (1 175) was in the Yuan Dynasty, Hui Yuan Zen Master became a monk. Leave niche for ten days, the color remains the same. On the 25th of the same month, Wufeng Tower was buried, with a life of seventy-four.
"Come and go, this life from the West Lake. Breeze and oars. Leave Lu Hua Port. Singing proudly, the night is quiet and loud. No one was rewarded. Clap your hands. Sing through Qianshan. Chen Shiruo, a priest in Maozhou, loves to sing this song. An old monk in Yunwulin wrote "Eye-catching Lips" and forgot his name. I heard it. I recorded it. Chanting back and forth, the tone is awesome. Alas, this is one of the old people with red ginger.
