Brief introduction of sourdrang queen

Zhang Huangyan, an anti-Qing scholar, first appeared the Marriage of a doer after Xiao Zhuang in the Poem of the Palace of Building Instruments, which may be totally untrue.

In many unofficial history and legends about the Qing Dynasty, the marriage of the Doer Empress has been greatly exaggerated, such as Grand View of unofficial history in Qing Dynasty, Anecdotes of Dourgen, Popular Romance of Qing Dynasty, Secret History of Qing Palace, etc. The plot depicted in the book is fantastic. For example, in the anecdote of dourgen, the queen mother and dourgen vowed to each other. The queen mother first suspended her death and held a grand funeral, then married Dourgen and became the emperor's wet nurse.

Sourdrang queen's marriage was first seen in the poem "The Palace of the Louyi" by Zhang Huangyan, a famous anti-Qing scholar in the early Qing Dynasty: The Palace of Eternal Life is a harmonious statue, and the Cining Palace is full of rotten doors. Yesterday, the official of Spring entered a new instrument note to prepare for the wedding of the Empress Dowager.

The poem means that Cining Palace, where Empress Dowager Cixi lived, has become a wedding bridal chamber, and the ceremony of Empress Dowager Cixi's wedding (new instrument note) has been done by Shangshu (spring official), and the gift is very grand. Many people have come to Cining Palace for their birthdays (toasts). Zhang Huangyan told people about current events at that time. Therefore, the words of Jianyi Palace became an important basis for advocating the marriage theory of the empress dowager.

Another major evidence that the Queen Mother's marriage really happened is that Dourgen changed her name to "Uncle Regent". On the eighth day of November in the seventh year of Shunzhi, Dourgen died in Kara City. The emperor shunzhi said: "When Emperor Taizong was promoted to a distant place, all the princes supported his father, the Regent, insisted on abdicating and bowed for me." Call Doreen "the father of the emperor". However, only three months later, on February 10th, the eighth year of Shunzhi, the emperor shunzhi, after discussing Dourgen's rebellion before his death, said according to the statement made by Wang that "(Dourgen) claimed to be the Regent of the Emperor's Father" and "all the votes granted in this chapter were based on the purpose of the Regent of the Emperor's Father, not the purpose of the emperor". This has become one of the ironclad evidences of Dourgen's "seeking to usurp the great position". Because the emperor shunzhi called Dorgan "the regent of the emperor's father", Dorgan called himself "the regent of the emperor's father" and "the emperor's father". If so, Dourgen was like a stepfather when he was alive in the emperor shunzhi.

Another evidence that the Empress Dowager got married is the historical records of North Korea. In February of the sixth year of Shunzhi, the Qing court sent envoys to North Korea to submit credentials. When korean king Li You saw that Dourgen was called "the Regent of the Emperor's Father" in the book, he asked: "There are words from the Regent of the Emperor's Father in the message of the Qing State. What is the move? " The Qing envoy replied, "Today, I will go to my uncle to congratulate the emperor." Zheng Taihe, a North Korean right-wing politician, said: "Although China doesn't have it, it seems too high." King Li Kao said, "But there are two emperors." North Korea's monarchs and ministers regard "Tai Shang Huang" as "Tai Shang Huang", implicitly referring to the marriage of the Queen Mother.

In December of the 26th year of Kangxi (1687), Empress Xiaozhuangwen died at the age of 75. On his deathbed, he ordered Emperor Kangxi not to be buried with Emperor Taizong and Huang Taiji, but to live in peace near Xiaoling Mausoleum in the emperor shunzhi. Emperor Kangxi served his grandmother, the Empress Dowager, as a sign of filial piety. But at the end of Kangxi's life, his grandmother's coffin was not buried, and it was placed on the ground of Zunhua Qing Dongling for 38 years. It was not until the third year of Yongzheng (1725) that the tomb was built and buried, and it was called "Zhaoxi Mausoleum". Five emperors, 14 empresses and 136 concubines are buried in the Feng Shui wall of the Qing Dongling, but Zhao Qianling is outside the Feng Shui wall, which also reminds people whether this is related to the marriage of the Queen Mother.

However, Zhang Huangyan was a minister of anti-Qing adherents in the late Ming Dynasty, and he was biased. Moreover, when he wrote poems, many people talked nonsense and had no basis. Besides, Cining Palace was renovated in the 11th year of Shunzhi, and sourdrang dowager moved in, while Dole died in December of the 7th year of Shunzhi, so it is not credible that the Empress Dowager got married.

Regent, the emperor's uncle, was renamed Regent, the emperor's father. It may be the respect of the ancients for their father and Guan Zhong, which cannot be the basis for the Queen Mother to marry. If the Queen Mother marries her, the Regent will be regarded as the "father of the emperor", and will definitely issue an imperial edict, which may be destroyed by the emperors after the Qing Dynasty. However, in Korea, a dependent country, no relevant imperial edict was found, which also shows the absurdity of the queen mother marrying.

Not being buried with Taizong after the death of the empress dowager cannot be the basis for the empress dowager to marry. Because there was a filial piety queen buried in Zhaoling of Emperor Taizong, Xiao Zhuang was the second queen, and the second queens of Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang and Xianfeng were not buried together. Therefore, the fact that sourdrang queen was not buried with Huang Taiji cannot be used as evidence of marriage.
