(1) Pearl of the Dongjiang River
Some people say that you like a place because there are favorite scenery and favorite people there.
Dongguan Shijie is a place that I fall in love with as soon as I come here. It has scenery, people, and stories.
Shijie Town and Dongguan City are separated by a strip of water and face each other across the Dongjiang River.
The scenery of Shijie comes first from the atmosphere of the old city.
Bluestone road, blue bricks and gray tiles, living next to the river. Although there are no black boats, there are small bridges and flowing water, which is a Lingnan landscape painting.
If the old city is the soul of Shijie, then the Dongjiang River is its blood.
The beauty of the old city is the beauty of Lingnan.
The clear water and green shore, with willows lingering, the breeze blowing, and the thick smoke of fireworks on the shore, highlight the Feng Shui of Lingnan.
Dongjiang River is the mother river of Shijie. It is really like a mother, using a white line to separate two naughty children.
On this 36-square-kilometer land, Shijie is the "Pearl of the East River" in the eyes of Guan Shanyue, a contemporary Chinese painting master.
Thousands of miles away, the Dongjiang River quietly embraces this small town here, like a long ribbon, giving the town an affectionate hug.
(2) City of Heroes
A river, a tower, and several bridges.
From the old city, go down the river and go to Liuhua Park to light incense and pray, so that your tired soul can find a haven of refuge.
Shijie is also a land of heroes.
In early summer and June, walking eastward along the Dongjiang River and walking into Yuan Chonghuan Avenue, fiery red kapok trees are blooming.
Kapok, also known as hero flower in Shijie. Chen Gongyin of the Qing Dynasty had a poem that said: "A good hero with a thick beard and a big face, how can he lose his strength and high crown."
The thick and colorful poem personifies Kapok, showing the hero's bid to bid farewell to the world.
The kapok trees are blooming, and the trees are blooming in the wind, as if waiting for the triumph of a hero.
Following the dance steps of kapok, we came to Yuan Chonghuan Park.
Bell pavilions, drum pavilions, ponds, pavilions and waterside pavilions, the water of the Dongjiang River has raised the children of Shi Jie, and heroes go to the battlefield from here.
The war drums were dusted, and the sound of the horns faded away, leaving only the statue of General Yuan standing in the square with his sword and horse.
On the walls of the park’s winding corridors are stone carvings that restore the heroic years of three hundred years ago.
Ningyuan's great victory, Ningjin's great victory, the overturned war horses, the soldiers shouting to the sky, the battle scenes of each battle slowly opened.
I heard the sound of explosions in the distance one after another. I saw General Yuan rushing from left to right, and the sound of fighting came from near and far away...
Yuan Da General, he used his steadfastness to paint a bright and rich color on the back of a departing dynasty.
Today, Yuan Chonghuan has become a cultural symbol of Shijie and Dongguan.
(3) Wonderful Stone Jie
The water of Dongjiang River flows southward day and night.
The Shijie on both sides of the Dongjiang River is a vibrant land and a modern city.
Shijie Town, with the electronics industry as the leader and multi-industry integrated development, has entered the top 100 comprehensively powerful towns in the country.
High-tech companies such as Delta Electronics, Yaxin Electronics, Taiyo Yuden, and Molex Connectors shine like stars on the land of Shijie.
Shijie, in terms of food, is also a place with hidden dragons and crouching tigers.
Shazhou clam porridge, Dongxing sugar water, Jin Fulai beef brisket and fish eggs are already making people drool before they even start eating.
When talking about Shijie, we have to mention Shijie Runfeng’s vegetable base for Hong Kong.
This place carries nearly half of the vegetable supply to Hong Kong. At three o'clock in the morning, when Dongjiang is still sleeping, the lights here are already brightly lit.
Trucks passing through Hong Kong, carrying the fragrance of rocks and earth, embark on a journey covered by stars and moon.
I walk alone on the land of stone, just like walking on the road of time.
In Daxin Jiangbin New Town, I met a friend Xiaozhen from Hubei.
She came to Shijie after graduating from technical secondary school in 2010 and has been working hard in this hot land for 10 years. She is now a workshop team leader at Delta Electronics, and her husband is a workshop leader at Delta Electronics. technician.
I asked her how she chose to settle in Shijie?
Xiaozhen said that she has a deep connection with Shi Jie. She spent her youth in Shi Jie and gained love. Her dreams and future are all in Shi Jie.
Xiaozhen spoke what was in my heart.
Let us cheer for Shi Jie, for yesterday, for the future, for Shi Jie, and for ourselves!
