Nanming River enters Guiyang City outside the south gate, meanders westward under Jihongqiao, and flows into a pool named Bitan. There are huge stones in the pool, such as the Aojiang River, which is flat and wide, and is called Ao Tou Ji Ruins Site or Ao Tou Ji Ruins Stone. Jiaxiulou is built on the aojing ridge stone. In the 25th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (AD 1598), Governor Jiang Dongzhi of Guizhou built a pavilion on the site of Ao Tou Ji Ruins, which was called "Jiaxiu". Later generations continued to build a nine-hole white stone bridge downstairs, which runs through the north and south banks and is called "Fuyu Bridge". Another pavilion named "Hanbi Pavilion" was built on the bridge. Jiaxiu Building has been burned repeatedly and has undergone six large-scale repairs. After 400 years of wind and rain, it still stands on the Aoji stone, which is a witness of Guiyang's history and a symbol of Guiyang's cultural development history.
Jiaxiulou is a pyramid-shaped roof attic with three floors, three eaves and four corners. About 20 meters high, the red eaves of the blue tiles are upturned, 12 stone pillars support the eaves, protected by white carved stone railings, and stand upright, with smoke windows and water islands, as in the picture. When you climb the building, you can see the surrounding scenery clearly. Fuyu Bridge is a nine-hole bridge, which is called "nine-eyed sandbar". Fuyu Bridge, like a white dragon lying on the waves, is more than 90 meters long, passing downstairs and connecting the two sides. There is a pavilion on the bridge, and the stone pillars in the pavilion are engraved with the couplets of Wang Zhifu in Guiyang in the Qing Dynasty: "Jasper rings out of water, and people walk in purple petals." Under the bridge, there are Han Bitan and Horizontal Terrace, and in the south of the bridge, there is Cuiwei Pavilion, which echoes from afar. Although foundations and bridges have been hit by floods many times in the past 400 years, they are still the mainstay.
There are many poems about Jiaxiulou by poets and poets in past dynasties, among which the 206-word couplet written by A Qing and Liu Yushan summarizes the geographical situation and historical changes of Guiyang, a mountain city.

"For 500 years, I have been firmly at the top of the list-Los Angeles. I am alone in Tianyu, which makes me by going up one flight of stairs and broadens my horizons. Look at Hengxiang in the east, Yunnan in the west, Guangdong in the south and Baqu in the north; All the way quickly crossed the Guanhe River and crossed the bear, propping up half of the Central Plains. However, it is not bad to sweep the pig's arch, spread the bird's nest, talk about the chicken camp, and create a beautiful landscape through hard work. Because the land is barren, it is difficult to compete with China for victory.
Thousands of cattle crossed the border of Yongzheng, asked who the double pillars were carved, and stormed. Recalling Qin Gui's Spine Road, Han River, Lan and Luodian; Pity for others, sigh for generations of celebrities, and grind away the old traces. It's better to call Lion Mountain a moon, eat like a mountain in summer, cover the Phoenix Valley on the mountain, attack the snail peak in the fog, climb the steps leisurely, and enjoy the smoke scene in this golden pavilion. I feel that Pengzhou is close at hand, calling for fairy tales frequently. "
Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Jiaxiulou has been the place where Guiyang people hold banquets. Climb upstairs and look out, surrounded by mountains, the nearest is the observation deck, with lush trees; In the distance, there are Qianling Mountain and Qingshan Mountain. Qixia, Fufeng, Box, Nanyue and other peaks are listed around, and the excellent scenery is breathtaking. Overlooking the suburbs, smoke billowed in the morning and afternoon, and hundreds of thousands of people were cooked. At four o'clock, the scenery is infinite and the weather in the mountain city is impressive.
