Attachment: Japanese Puppet Organization
In September p>1944, Pingnan County fell, and then the major towns in the county, the major villages along the Xijiang River and the transportation hubs were successively occupied by Japanese invaders. Wherever they fell into the hands of the Japanese army, they used the insidious means of "controlling China with China", and under the guise of "China and Japan support each other and * * * save * * glory", they rallied a group of unfaithful Han Chinese, formed a maintenance meeting and a pseudo-government, and made a mistake for the villagers.
In August, 1945, after Pingnan was restored to the motherland, the Japanese puppet organization collapsed, and the people strongly demanded that the traitors and collaborators be punished. However, at that time, Ouyang Baying, the county magistrate of Pingnan, arrested only a few traitors, but fined most of them, or let them get away with it under various excuses. Why did the Japanese puppet county magistrate pretend to be dead, so as to get away with it? (For details, see Military Chapter of Pingnan County Records).
