Overview of Jinwen Cemetery

Jinxian Cemetery is located in Dongling, Nanfanhuaiquan Village, Jiangxian County. The tomb is a hundred feet high, has no temple, and is shaped like a wooden dol without a handle. He was the son of Duke Wu of the Jin Dynasty in the Spring and Autumn Period. His name was Guizhu, and he was the first to build Duwei (Jiangxian County, Shanxi). Duke Xian first married Jia, but he had no children. He married Qi Jiang and gave birth to his wife Qin Mu Gong and Prince Shen Sheng. Later, he married two more daughters to Rong and gave birth to Chong'er and Yiwu. In the battle against Li Rong, he won Li Ji and gave birth to Xi Qi. Duke Xian doted on Li Ji and often listened to her slanders. He first forced Prince Shen Sheng to death, and then wanted to harm Prince Chong'er and Yi Wu in order to achieve the goal of letting Xi Qi succeed to the throne. Duke Xian reigned for twenty-six years. After Xian Gong's death, he was not included in the ceremony because he was mediocre and violent during his lifetime, so as to show good and evil. Xian Cemetery is a provincial key cultural relic protection unit.

Jinwen Cemetery is in Weizhuangxia Village, Jiangxian County. Wen Gong was a prince of the Spring and Autumn Period. He was the second son of Jin Xian Gong and the younger brother of Prince Shen Sheng. His name was Chong'er. Duke Xian loved Li Ji and killed the prince Shen Sheng. Chong'er fled to Di (Zhai) and lived in exile for 19 years. Later, with the help of Duke Mu of Qin's army, he returned to Jin to restore the country, killed the princes and leaders, accepted King Xiang of Zhou, saved Song Dynasty and defeated Chu, and succeeded Duke Huan of Qi as the leader of the alliance. He reigned for 9 years and received his posthumous title Wen. When Duke Wen of Jin was in power, the capital of the country was Jiang (today's Jiangxian County, Shanxi). After his death, he was buried in Xiling, Weizhuangxia Village, Jiangxian County.

Jinwen Cemetery and Jinxian Cemetery are not far apart. There is a local saying: Laozi (father) from Huaiquan, son from Xiacun. Jinling Cemetery is located in Liujia Village, South of Moli Township, 12 kilometers east of Jiangxian County. During his lifetime, Linggong was dissolute and immoral, corrupted the government, cruelly exploited the people, and framed the ministers who advised him, which aroused the resistance of the subjects. In the end, he was killed by Zhao Dun's brother Zhao Chuan, and he became a fatuous master despised by future generations. There is a stone tablet in front of the tomb, engraved with the word "Jingzhong". Because Linggong was very cruel during his lifetime, he was not included in the sacrificial ceremony after his death. The tombs of Jin Xiangong, Wen Cemetery and Ling Cemetery are all located in Jiangxian County. Xian Cemetery, located in Huaiquan Village, Jiangxian County, is about 40 meters high and looks like a handleless wooden altar. It is said that the five-flower soil was taken from Prince Beach in Quwo, dozens of miles away, and was piled up by Chinese people who lined up to pass it around in baskets. Because of its poor reputation, it "sleeps alone without a temple." Wen Cemetery, located in Xiacun, Jiangxian County, is about 40 meters high and round. Because of its outstanding merits, a temple was built in front of the tomb. In the temple, there is a stone tablet of "Jin Wen Cemetery" dating from the 51st year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty. In recent years, lifelike sculptures have been added in front of the tomb. The stone statue of Duke Wen of Jin has been worshiped in the past dynasties. Because Jin Linggong was cruel and ignorant, he was buried on the barren hills of Liujia Village in the south of Jiang County after his death. He was lonely and had no one to worship him. In the Jiangxian Museum, various tablets, stone statues and related cultural relics such as the "Old Capital of Jin", "Jiangxian Master", and "Jiangxian Old Man" from the Qing Dynasty have been preserved.

Many place names in Jiangxian County can also illustrate this point. Shi's hometown is close to the carriage city, so it is called Nancheng Village, which is an example.
