Brief introduction of Bai Chongxi

1, Bai Chongxi (1March 89318—1February 2, 966), a native of Shanwei, Huixian Town, Lingui District, Guilin City, Guangxi Province, was a first-class general in the Army of the Republic of China and was called "Little Zhuge". Xingui, a warlord, is a representative figure and is called Li Bai together with Li Zongren.

2. During the Northern Expedition, he led Guangxi troops to attack Shanhaiguan. After the victory of the Northern Expedition, he fought many wars with Chiang Kai-shek and other local forces. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the two men mobilized troops from Guangxi to fight against the Japanese army, and cooperated in directing many wars, winning many wars. He was awarded the Right Sky Medal, the Victory Medal of the Anti-Japanese War and the British Bus Knight Medal.

3. After the victory of Bai Chongxi War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he was appointed as the "Minister of Defense of the Republic of China". However, the Kuomintang government failed to keep the victory in the northeast, and the situation became increasingly unfavorable to the Kuomintang government. In the end, the new Guangxi family could not keep half of the Republic of China. After the People's Liberation Army liberated Chinese mainland, Bai Chongxi fled to Taiwan Province and died in Taipei on 1966.
