The young monk didn't believe it, so the old monk put a branch there and told the young monk that after ten days, the branch would surely sprout. At this time, they saw Zhu Yuanzhang's grandfather pretending to be asleep. They were going to tell him, but they didn't wake him up because he seemed to be asleep. As a result, after more than ten days, this branch really sprouted. Zhu Yuanzhang's grandfather was very happy to know, but he was afraid that others would know the secret, so he replaced the branches.
A few days later, two Taoist priests came to see the branches. Seeing at a glance that the branches had been changed, the old Taoist asked Zhu Yuanzhang's grandfather. Grandpa Zhu Yuanzhang could not hide it, so he told the truth. The old Taoist sighed: Your son could have been emperor, but because of your behavior, you can't be emperor until your grandson.
Later, before Zhu Yuanzhang's grandfather died. Ordered his son to bury him in what was then known as a treasure trove of geomantic omen.
