Fenghuang Mountain Tourism Area Taiping Temple

On the mountainside of Wuyi Mountain, there are several peaks in front of the temple, commonly known as "seven stars with the moon". The temple was founded by Wu. In the 12th year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (1655), it was ordered to be stationed in Raoping and other places, in order to seal the commander-in-chief Prince Taibao and the left commander-in-chief. At present, there are still three inscriptions, plaques and couplets.

During the late Ming and early Qing dynasties (that is, around AD 1644), Nan, the last prince of the Ming Dynasty, fled because of difficulties, and several people went through hardships. Finally, he fled to Tianchi Mountain in Wuyishan, and the accompanying official Wu hid the prince in a cave near Tianchi. Wu couldn't hide because of the pursuers, and was captured alive by the Qing soldiers. Forced by the situation, Wu finally gave up the hiding place of the prince and presented him to the Qing court. The Qing emperor remembered his meritorious service to the prince and didn't kill him. He ordered Wuwei to be stationed in Shangrao, a town on an equal footing. Nowadays, the saying that King Zang of Wu offered a prince is widely circulated among the people in Fenghuang Mountain.

After Wu was blocked, his official addiction was not satisfied. Within his jurisdiction, he recruited talents, chose places and tried to set up another court. Just when Prince Wu Zang was in Tianchi Mountain, he found a small piece of flat land at the foot of the mountain beside Tianchi Lake. Here, there are three places rising from the back and seven stars rising in front. Tianmen is a place where a person lives on the ground, and there is a Tianchi District on the top of the mountain, which is connected with Han Yun. There is no scenic spot, a vast field of vision, surrounded by strange peaks on the left and right, and a natural barrier. It is considered as an excellent piece of Feng Shui.

Therefore, Wu used his power to raise funds, prepare materials and transport them to the construction site one after another. Unexpectedly, the news reached the court, and the Qing emperor immediately ordered the imperial envoys to verify the truth. If there is such a thing, he will definitely play the role of one-on-one hit nine families. Wu is not afraid of danger. Before the arrival of the imperial envoy, he immediately killed all the construction workers invited from Quanzhou to prevent leaks. At the same time, he sent someone to expand the original "Yong Lian Temple" and buried all the silver salts in the three water tanks and the planned boulders, temporarily covering up the original plan in order to make a comeback. Wu also had a brainwave and renamed the ever-expanding "Lotus Chaos" as "Taiping Temple", threatening to celebrate the peaceful and prosperous times of the imperial court and the world. The imperial envoy returned to Beijing to reply to the inspection. The emperor listened to the exultation, ordered the imperial edict, and officially named Antang "Taiping Temple".

Wu's plan fell through, and a lot of treasures and stones were still buried underground. Local residents have dug up many huge stones four meters long and one and a half feet wide around the former site of Taiping Temple. One of the farmers, according to the code word of treasure hunting, dug three feet and dug up a large stone slab that had been artificially processed, but no silver dollar was found yet. Local villagers are still trying to solve this mystery.

After the completion of Taiping Temple, incense was very popular. Every year on the twentieth day of the first lunar month, there are an endless stream of worshippers hoping to make incense. Sometimes monks in the temple have to cook three or four times a day to meet the supply. Before Fengyi, the county magistrate of Ma Ping, Guangxi, was thirsty for talents here, and Wu, an important official of the imperial court, smoked and bathed here.
