Where is Zhao Kuangyin's tomb?

In Gongyi, Henan Province, Yongchang Mausoleum, the mausoleum of Zhao Kuangyin, the founding emperor of the Song Dynasty, is located in the wheat field on the north side of Xicun Town. The mausoleum area is 2000 meters long from north to south and 600 meters wide from east to west. There are 60 stone statues standing in front of the imperial tomb, which are symmetrical in north and south. They are watchtowers, elephants, Swiss birds, horned tails, four horses, eight horse officials, four tigers, four sheep, six guests, four warriors, four civil servants, two running lions and two general Ling Zhen.

There are many legends and stories about Zhao Kuangyin's tomb in the village, the most famous of which is "buried upside down".

"Zhao Kuangyin is the source of Weihe River and the foot of Lushan Mountain," said a villager, which is not a good guide. "I usually lean my head on the mountain." According to the legend of predecessors, it was a "Yin and Yang Master" who drove from Kaifeng for a month and chose this place. At first, it was a lake. The water was drained by water drops, and the mausoleum was built here. However, some villagers said that the "underwater tomb" was originally built.

Is that so? Experts from Gongyi told reporters that Zhao Kuangyin Tomb is indeed a rare inverted tomb. Originally, according to the topography and geomantic trend of this cave, the tomb should be built from south to north, with the terrain from high to low, but from north to south and from low to high. "This is Mr. Feng Shui deliberately retaliating against Zhao Kuangyin."

After Zhao Kuangyin acceded to the throne, he began to choose a mausoleum for himself. After nationwide selection, he chose Mr. Feng Shui Wu Yidao. Wu Yidao traveled all over the world and finally found a good place in Gongyi: a lake. Zhao Kuangyin sent people to cast a treasure to avoid water in the spring, covered the spring with a big stone mill, and began a large-scale mausoleum construction project. No sooner had the mausoleum been built than Zhao Kuangyin died.

Because during this period, Wu Yidao was "wronged" by Zhao Kuangyin and imprisoned by Zhao Kuangyin, he deliberately turned the direction of the mausoleum upside down. "Because I don't want his family to be emperors for generations." The villagers in Xicun said this.

Since then, the emperors of the Northern Song Dynasty have been buried in Gongyi.
