A selection of my motherland songs
My Motherland is an episode of the Chinese mainland film Shangganling (produced in 1956). Qiao Yu's Ci, Liu Chi, was originally sung by China soprano Guo Lanying.
In 1989, Qiao Yu, Liu Chi and Guo Lanying won the xx Golden Record Award for this song. In 27, Chang 'e-1, China's first lunar exploration satellite, was specially selected to carry this song.
After changchun film studio finished filming Shangganling, director Sha Meng asked Qiao Yu to write lyrics for the theme song. On the night of Qiao Yu's invitation, he boarded the bus from Nanchang to Shanghai, and Yuan Wenshu, the director of Shanghai Film Factory, arranged the train to Changchun. After Sha Meng and Qiao Yu met, Sha Meng gave Qiao Yu the information. The film "Shangganling" has been filmed and the samples have been cut out. Leave only a few minutes of the scene where the episode is arranged, and make up after the song comes out. The whole crew spends a lot of money every day. Therefore, Sha Meng asked Qiao Yu to write quickly, and asked the song to last forever. Qiao Yu wanted to take a different writing path when writing lyrics, but he couldn't think of it. Sha Meng came to his room almost every day to rush the manuscript, and Qiao Yu didn't have the way. It was not until he remembered the scene when he saw the Yangtze River in Jiangxi that he wrote the lyrics [1]. After reading the manuscript for half an hour, Sha Meng asked why the first sentence didn't use the Yangtze River or the Yangtze River Wan Li. Qiao Yu thought that writing like this might make those who were not on the edge of the Yangtze River psychologically distant and lose intimacy. Finally, Sha Meng accepted Qiao Yu's idea.
In 1956, Sha Meng asked Liu Chi to compose music for My Motherland. In order to make people love this song, Liu Chi investigated and studied the songs that people liked to sing from 1949 to 1955, selected ten songs from them and listened to them repeatedly. Finally, he found the first sentence of My Motherland from the first sentence of one of the Lugou Questions and Answers. When Liu Chi was creating the Xiaobailou in changchun film studio, in order to avoid outside interference, he posted a note "Liu Chi is dead" on the door.
In order to find a suitable singer to sing My Motherland, Changying invited a group of singers who are good at singing folk songs in China, but the results were not satisfactory. Later, Qiao Yu asked Guo Lanying to sing. After Guo Lanying auditioned, Changying chose her as the singer of the song. The recording of the song was made in china national radio, and the next day after the recording was completed, the radio broadcast the song to the whole of China.
"My Motherland" deeply expresses the strong patriotism and sings the infinite love and heroism of the volunteers for their motherland and hometown. The lyrics are sincere, simple, cordial and vivid. The first half of the melody is euphemistic, and the three songs are three beautiful pictures, which are fascinating. Although the song is different from many red songs, its style is tough and powerful, but the melody in the first half is euphemistic and pleasant, and the chorus and mixed chorus in the second half are in sharp contrast with the previous one, as if the mountain torrents are pouring down a thousand miles, expressing the passion of the soldiers and singing the infinite love and heroism of the volunteers for their motherland and hometown.
"My Motherland" is an excellent lyric song, which deeply expresses a strong patriotic thought.
