Brief introduction of Longmu Temple in Yuecheng, Deqing

Longmu Ancestral Temple is located in Shuikou, Yuecheng Town, Deqing County, Guangdong Province. This is a temple dedicated to the Dragon Mother Empress. Dragon mother surnamed Wen, Qin. She can predict good and bad luck from an early age, and is kind and helpful, so she is called the goddess. Legend has it that one day, when Wen was washing by the Xijiang River, he accidentally picked up a big egg and hatched five small animals to fish for Wen. When they grow up, these five things become five real dragons with prominent heads and scales. Wen asked them to make artificial rainfall to protect the environment and people. People call Wen the dragon mother. Later, the dragon mother died and the five dragons were heartbroken.
