Qin Wangchuan, named after Xue Jutun, the overlord of the Western Qin Dynasty at the end of Sui Dynasty, refers to the mountainous basin area between the eastern part of Yongdeng County and Gaolan County in Gansu Province, covering an area of about 470 square kilometers, with a length of 40 kilometers from north to south and a width of 16 kilometers from east to west. Geographically, it belongs to a fault basin, dominated by alluvial plains, and most of it is covered by Quaternary loess except the Tertiary red beds in the east, west and south.
