The down-and-out scholar discovered a treasure land and set up a trap for him to be buried here. What happened in the end?

Feng Shui is a unique knowledge in China, also known as "Feng Shui". It is mixed with geology, botany and other sciences, as well as some superstitious elements, but the ancients believed in it. Feng Shui. Feng Shui in a broad sense should include fortune telling, yangzhai, yinzhai, etc. In ancient times, people who knew Fengshui were called "Mr. Geography". Usually they would consider a person's birth time, yangzhao, and yinzhai at the same time to determine the blessings and misfortunes. Good or bad.

Feng Shui in a narrow sense simply refers to the shady house, which is the place where a person is buried after death and the location of the tomb. Mr. Geography believes that the location and shape of the tomb will affect the fate of the descendants of the tomb owner. If the tomb is buried well, generations of descendants will be rich; if it is buried poorly, the descendants will be involved in lawsuits and disasters. Therefore, the ancients usually chose a relatively good Feng Shui land for themselves before they died.

Pan Congyuan was from the Song Dynasty and lived in Fujian. His birth was not very good, and he was considered a poor scholar. When the emperor of the Song Dynasty wrote poems, he had his own house of gold in the book, and his own beauty was like jade. Therefore, people in the Song Dynasty were very active in studying to gain fame. Pan Congyuan is no exception. He has been studying seriously since he was a child, hoping to gain fame and change his destiny when he grows up. He performed well at the beginning. He passed the examination as a scholar, and he was considered to be famous. He became the evangelist of Jizhou, Jiangxi Province, which was equivalent to the minister of education in Jizhou, Jiangxi Province.

But from then on, Pan Congyuan was exhausted. No matter how hard he took the exam, he could not pass the exam, let alone be a Jinshi above the exam. After many failed efforts, Pan Congyuan felt that perhaps fate had limited him. He was destined to be a scholar, and it was impossible to pass the imperial examinations and Jinshi, so he decided to quit officialdom and go home to live in seclusion.

But there is a saying from the ancients: Princes, generals and prime ministers would rather have their own kind. ?Pan Congyuan is very unwilling to succumb to this fate. He has been like this for the rest of his life and cannot change it, but he hopes to change the fate of his descendants. In addition to reading the Four Books and Five Classics, ancient scholars also dabbled in medicine, arithmetic, divination, and Feng Shui, so Pan Congyuan himself also knew Feng Shui.

While going home, he walked to the junction of today's Ganzhou and Ji'an in Jiangxi Province. This place was called Xingguo Wuli Pass at the time. He looked at the mountains here. The back was like an armchair, and there were two lines in front. The river flows through, with majestic peaks on both sides. In Feng Shui, it is a typical example of "hiding wind and gathering energy", "double rivers gathering beauty", and "golden basin gathering water". The most important thing is that this area has a prosperous cultural heritage. If he can bury himself here, his descendants will definitely produce many champions and successful candidates.

So Pan Congyuan decided to choose his cemetery here, and he thought of buying the land from the local people. However, Pan Congyuan, who has been in official circles for a long time, also thought that once the common people knew that this was a geomantic treasure land, they would not easily buy this land to themselves. Even if they spent a lot of money, they would not be able to obtain this land, so Decided to sacrifice himself to make a "desperate move" to benefit his family.

So he secretly told his son Pan about his funeral affairs. Of course, Pan Tong did not agree with his father's actions. Confucius, the most sage master of Dacheng, once said: "If you don't know life, how can you know death?" The fate of the family after death is all illusory. Only living can make life meaningful. But Pan Congyuan was determined and did not listen to Pan Tong's persuasion. His father's fate was difficult, so Pan Tong had to do what his father said.

Pan Congyuan drove cattle to eat the local people's crops. At that time, crops were the lifeblood of the people. How could they tolerate an outsider's livestock ruining their crops? So we came together to find Pan Congyuan's theory. At this time, Pan Congyuan changed his image of a humble gentleman who usually read books about saints. He cursed at the people and even beat them. The local people could not stand this anger, so they picked up a hoe and a pole and started fighting with Pan Congyuan. Pan Congyuan was originally a scholar and was alone. How could he defeat these farmers who had been working all year round, so he was beaten to death.

So Pan Tong rushed over to ask for his life from the people. If the people could not give an explanation, they would sue the officials. Killing for life is an unquestionable iron law in ancient China. In addition, Pan Congyuan was still an official and Pan Tong was also a scholar. The common people were immediately afraid and had little property, so they proposed to allocate this land to Pan Tong in the hope that he would not go to court. . This played into Pan Congyuan's "fatal situation", so Pan Tong buried his father here.

Sure enough, not long after that, in 1244 AD, Pan Tong won the first prize in the imperial examination and was appointed by Emperor Lizong of the Song Dynasty as the Guangzhou Observer and Promotion Officer (third rank) of the Song Dynasty. Soon after, he was promoted to the bachelor of the Secretariat (first rank) for his merit. Pan Tong's After the son, some became the Minister of War in the Southern Song Dynasty, some became the Guanglu doctor in the Southern Song Dynasty, and some became the Commander-in-Chief of the Guards in the Southern Song Dynasty. In short, almost all the families were honored and the family was promoted high.

Until more than 800 years later, the Pan family still produced countless generals and prime ministers. Since then, the Pan family has prospered and spread to all parts of the country. However, no matter where the Pan family is in the country, they all regard Pan Congyuan’s cemetery as their ancestral grave. There is also a couplet written on it: The descendants of Zhongmubo Huanyu should remember their ancestors' virtues, and the ancestors of Xingyang Zhaogen have made great contributions. To commemorate Pan Congyuan's "change of destiny" for the Pan family.
