Dayaoshan is the watershed between Gui Jiang and Liujiang. Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County is located in the east of the central part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and governs eight counties including Xiangzhou, Mengshan and Pingnan. It starts from the Xiuren-Sanjiang fault zone in Lipu in the north and reaches the vicinity of Shilong in Guiping County in the south, with a length of about 130 km and a width of 50 ~ 60 km. Northeast-southwest, west and Daming Mountain form an arc mountain range in Guangxi. Dayaoshan Nature Reserve is located in Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with the geographical coordinates of East longitude 109 50? North latitude110 27', 23 40' and 4 28', with a total area of 24,907 hectares. Established with the approval of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region 1982, this nature reserve is a national nature reserve with forest ecosystems and rare species as the main protection objects. There are 2335 species of vascular plants belonging to 870 genera in 2 13 families in Dayao Mountain, accounting for 76%, 52% and 39% of the families, genera and species of Guangxi flora, respectively, ranking first in the whole mountainous area. There are national first-class protected plants such as silver fir and tree fern, and there are 20 hectares of Liyou forest in relict plant in Cretaceous, and there are more than 300 kinds of medicinal plants/kloc-0. It is the largest natural botanical garden in Guangxi. The forest covers an area of 283,000 hectares, with a coverage rate of 40%, and the timber accumulation is more than 2.8 million cubic meters. It is an important production base of Chinese fir and bamboo in Guangxi and the most important water source forest area in Guangxi. There are more than 370 species of vertebrates, more than 800 species of insects and more than 40 species of macrofungi/kloc-0. Crocodile lizard, a national first-class protected animal, belongs to 7 genera, subfamilies, genera and species. It is unique to China and has important research value. Every year from the cold dew to the early winter, flocks of birds fly from the north and inhabit Dayao Mountain, which is called snow birds by Yao compatriots. This is the unique "Snowbird" spectacle in Dayao Mountain. Snowbirds are travelers.
From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, the evergreen broad-leaved forest, mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forest and rhododendron forest are in turn. Among the animal resources, there are 42 species of mammals, 34 species of reptiles and 3 species of amphibians.
