Why is there only this kind of Putuo carp in the world?

Carpinus nanbeiensis

The top of Jiuhua Mountain is densely covered with vegetation. There are nearly a thousand kinds of animals and plants living and growing in the mountains, some of which are rare and endangered species, and Carpinus crassipes is one of them. When it comes to goose-eared carp, some people may dismiss it, saying that there are many such miscellaneous trees in the northern mountains. In fact, the horn beam on the top of Jiuhua Mountain is a rare species. Because in our country, apart from Jixian in Tianjin, only Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang has one, and it is marked as unique. The unique ostrich Mount Putuo has an indissoluble bond with Mount Jiuhua.

According to legend, the Eight Immortals crossed the ocean and found a way to become immortals. They traveled all over China and finally settled in the Eight Immortals in Saibei. On that day, Guanyin Bodhisattva meditated in the cave of Xianshan Mountain in the South China Sea and counted with her fingers. They knew that these eight people were immortals and would be inspired, but they lacked guidance, so they came here from Putuo Mountain to change the Eight Immortals. On the top of Jiushan Mountain, Guanyin Bodhisattva met with the Eight Immortals, explaining the scriptures to them and pointing out the maze. At that time, Guanyin Bodhisattva sat cross-legged under an ear comb to lecture. A breeze blew, and the branches swept over her head. Guanyin stretched out her finger and played it, and a seed landed on the bun. Guanyin smiled and continued to preach.

Guanyin Bodhisattva melted the Eight Immortals at the top of Jiuhua Mountain and returned to Putuo Mountain. The seed of kiwi fruit tree, which fell in the bun, accidentally landed on Putuo Mountain and soon took root and grew into a big tree. It is also because this kind of tree grows separately, and a single tree will not reproduce much. So, until now, only one Chinese carp has survived on Mount Putuo. As the saying goes: things are rare. Therefore, this kind of kiwifruit enjoys the treatment of national treasure giant panda in Putuo Mountain, and is also regarded as a' sacred tree' by people there. What would they think if they reached the top of jiusan and saw that the mountain was full of goose ears?
