Haizhou history:

Haizhou has a long history. As early as the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, temples were built all over the country. After many investigations by monks at that time, it was determined that the southern slope of Xishan in Haizhou District was a treasure trove of geomantic omen, and temples were built here.

Because "hillside" is called "Haizhou" in Mongolian, this temple was named "Haizhou" Temple, from which Haizhou came. Haizhou District is rich in cultural heritage, and has trained famous sketch actor Huang Xiaojuan, famous disabled writer Wang Zhanjun and other celebrities.

As the religious center of Fuxin, temples and churches are branded with mysterious religions. Haizhou District has the largest Catholic church in the province, as well as temples and churches such as Buddhism, Christianity and Islam, and has become a holy place for all sects in the province. Education in Haizhou District is thriving, and Fuxin Experimental Middle School, the first demonstration middle school in Liaoning Province, is located here.
