Bell Tower-the landmark building of No.3 Factory

It is no exaggeration to say that the bell tower is the landmark of the third factory. Even if there are many high-rise buildings in the future, it will never replace the position of the bell tower in the eyes of the people in the third factory. The bell tower is the soul of the third factory and the symbol of the town.

In the past, the town was full of bungalows, and the bell tower could be seen from a distance. It feels majestic and towering. Now there are many tall buildings, and the bell tower is no longer magnificent. But when people talk about the third factory, they will definitely mention the bell tower. Because of the bell tower, there are only three factories.

Speaking of which, the bell tower is still promising.

Zhang Jian, the top scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, founded dozens of enterprises in his life, forming Sheng Da Capital Group with three pillars of agriculture, industry and commerce. The famous Sheng Da No.3 Textile Factory is located in his hometown Haimen, and the location of No.3 Textile Factory has become the third factory town. This town was formed by a factory, but it is not.

The town is a street centered on factories, and half of the town is a factory. In order to meet the living needs of factory employees, a street was formed across the river to protect the factory. The old street no longer exists now, but the older generation still has the impression that the narrow Qingshi Street is surrounded by people on both sides, and the scene on the street is no different from his.

What is worth mentioning in the small town is Zhang Jian's disgusting work-Sheng Da No.3 Factory.

The Third Factory in Old Sheng Da is very spectacular. The factory is surrounded by the Hufang River, and the gate is the magnificent bell tower. There are pavilions on both sides of the bell tower, and the wooden bridge with carved beams and painted columns can enter the factory through the bell tower.

Factories are all-encompassing, just a small society. There is a freight terminal, and ships and trains are frequent, which goes directly to Qinglong Terminal and then to Shanghai Dada Terminal. In the early days of the Republic of China, this was a big event.

The big chimney of the factory is the food and clothing of the town people. The sound of bagpipes three times a day urges the townspeople to work and strive for survival.

The workshop in the factory is a special toothed workshop for textile mills, and the rumbling sound shows the strength of the factory to the world. The living area and office area are buildings in the Republic of China, with three or four courtyards. In the yard, the garden table is connected with the balcony.

There is a big garden in the southwest of the factory. The small courtyard in the center of the garden is like a "small bridge with flowing water". Small and unique, it should be where the boss lived at that time. By the 1970s and 1980s, it had been transformed into a nursing home for employees: a small courtyard with four entrances, blue bricks and gray tiles, a long corridor and ingenious eaves, surrounded by a small river nursing home, and a delicate bridge in front of the hospital leads to a big garden. The lawn surrounded by holly trees with different shapes in the park, the corridor covered with stone benches under the pavilion composed of acacia vines. This is a paradise for children in the town. They play hide-and-seek, hide-and-seek and fly kites here. When preparing for the disaster, a big tunnel was dug in the garden, and the waste mud piled up in the tunnel became a rockery in a corner of the garden, which was also the exit of the tunnel, recording the happiness of the children in the town. At that time, there was no park in the county, and the garden was a huge sum of money for the dolls in the town.

Now that the house is here, it is beyond recognition and has become a barren land. It is a pity.

The workers' meeting place built after the liberation of the garden is the center of people's entertainment activities in the town. Movies, performances, and conferences are shown, and children shuttle through the crowd, which is very lively. Every time I watch a movie, or wait for the movie to start, or after the movie, I have to have a play in the garden, which is perfect.

The primary school in the town used to be a big quadrangle. It used to be an embroidery school run by the champion, and later it was a school for children. Beautiful blue brick houses are connected by long corridors and paved with bluestone. There is a small garden in the backyard, which is a bit old-fashioned manor.

As early as the sixties, the train had become a pendulum, leaving only the trackless train track where the boys worked hard. Qinglong Port Wharf is still brilliant, which is the only way to Shanghai, connecting fashion with the excitement of the outside world. At that time, unknown waterfowl, pigs and cows hovered overhead, and occasionally there was a mirage.

Today, Sheng Da No.3 Factory is no longer brilliant, but the bell tower has stood, but it is a bit lonely. Seen from the bell tower, the old factory buildings and buildings in the Republic of China look like old people in their twilight years. Only the shade trees in the factory are still alive, telling people that this is a land of geomantic omen.

If, I mean, if, if it is rebuilt now, the old factory building may be made into a museum to record the history of college students and the town, and the town children's paradise can become a blessed place for the next generation. Sitting in a green leather car in the early years of the Republic of China, listening to the story of the champion all the way, and taking a yacht to visit the Yangtze River at Qinglong Pier, the Yangtze River water is still clear. I dare say this town is no worse than other scenic ancient towns. The bell tower still protects the people of the town and remains the soul of the town.
