It is worth mentioning that People's Park is the first park in Guangzhou. Because it is located in the city center, it used to be called "Central Park".
People's Park was opened to the public as early as 192 1, and now it is a place for citizens to hang out, rest or entertain. No fence is open for free.

There are many pavilions in People's Park, some are traditional buildings in China, some are white buildings with western characteristics, all of which are trendy things in the early 20th century. One of the white pavilions, built in 1926, has the words "Happy Everyone" on the north side and "Music Pavilion" on the south side.
Every morning or on weekends and holidays, there are always some folk bands playing and singing here, and some opera lovers entertain themselves here.
Before the People's Park was built, it was a treasure trove of geomantic omen in Guangzhou. Since the Sui Dynasty, most of the official residences of yamen have been built here. In the south of the Ming Dynasty, there was also a royal palace. In the Qing Dynasty, it was the seat of Pingnan Wang Fu. 19 18 years before the comprehensive park was built at the initiative of sun yat-sen.
If you don't know the history of People's Park, don't go sightseeing in the park, just walk around outside the park, it's hard to feel the inside of the park. Only when you walk into the park and understand the origin of each scenic spot can you feel different.
It is worth mentioning that there are also white marble lions carved in the early Qing Dynasty in the People's Park. In addition, the Chrysanthemum Exhibition and the Spring Festival are held every year.
There are six groups of sculptures in People's Park, including the age of fire, Lu Xun and Xian Xinghai. Tourists are usually impressed by Lu Xun and Xian Xinghai. The former works were included in Chinese textbooks, while the latter created the classic The Yellow River Cantata handed down from generation to generation. The impassioned melody will always drive the lofty sentiments of the Chinese people.
