Zelkova schneideriana is a tall tree, 30 meters high, DBH 100 cm. Bark is grayish white or brownish gray with irregular flake peeling, which is not suitable for planting in front of the door and yard.
Zelkova schneideriana likes to live in sparse forests along river valleys and streams, with an altitude of 500- 1, 900 meters. It is often cultivated in East China and grows well in moist and fertile soil.
