National Registered Interior Designer Examination

It is understood that the “Registered Interior Designer” exam is organized and implemented by the China Interior Decoration Association. It aims to cultivate professional design and management talents with modern design concepts, imagination, creativity and artistic literacy, standardize the domestic decoration market, improve the professional level of designers, and meet the needs of all sectors of society for interior design talents.

Examination 3 subjects

"Registered Interior Designer" consists of 3 assistant interior designers (junior), registered interior designers (intermediate) and registered senior interior designers (senior). The exam consists of three subjects: "Design Principles", "On-site Scheme Design" and "Hand-Drawing Comprehensive Performance", each of which lasts for 3 hours. Among them, "Design Principles" is a theoretical answer sheet, which is conducted in the form of a closed-book written test; "On-site Plan Design" requires the completion of hand-drawn floor plans, top views and elevations; "Hand-Drawing Comprehensive Performance" requires the completion of hand-drawn renderings of interior spaces.
