Nature Note 32: Blowing Mountains

Downstairs, I saw the blooming flowers in Tang Di. It really started earlier than I remember. I thought it would last until all the pink peaches, cherry blossoms and begonia were in bloom. In early summer, Rosaceae plants will bloom, including yellow Tang Di flowers.

Di Tang Hua's impression in China is not very good. In Japan, the yellow color of Tang Dihua is a very traditional and famous color, which is called "mountain blowing color". Because Tang Di is called Chuishan in Japanese, it is used to describe the way flowers on the mountain sway with the wind. The name of mountain blowing color originated from Heian Dynasty, which is a rare traditional color named after yellow flowers in Japanese. In Japanese literature, blowing mountains is comparable to cherry blossoms.

There is a kind of flower in China's ancient poems, whose name is very similar to that of Tang Di. It is called Tang Di, also called Tang Di or Changdi. But it is generally believed that Tang Di refers to Prunus humilis, a plant with pink or white flowers. Only Li Shangyin said that "Tang Di turned yellow and forgot to worry about it", probably mistaking Tang Di for.

The newly opened Tang Di flower downstairs is a single petal with five flowers. Stamens and flowers are almost the same color, both bright yellow. Its yellow is different from the yellow of Yingchun and Forsythia, and it is rich yellow with a slight orange red. In summer, double-petal Tang Di flowers are more common. The petals are finely divided and gathered into a ball, which is not as beautiful as a single-petal flower.

I am happy to see Di Tang Hua. I can't say why, perhaps because of its bright colors, or because the warm early summer it represents is coming. Of course, it may also be because there is joy in my heart, but it just overflows in front of it. Sometimes, I find myself a dreamer, although I am too old to dream. The difference is that I used to think dreams were illusory and useless. Now I see it as more beautiful than reality.

Mountain Blower, what a nice name! The wind on the mountain gently blows it, and a delicate flower shakes with the wind, like a restless heart, trembling with the wind.
