During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, Yu Yue, a scholar, visited relatives in Xiapu from Deqing, Zhejiang. At this time, he left an inscription saying: "Strict fenshuiguan on the ridge makes people look back at their hometown mountain. If they practice mountain gods on their way home, the geese will be close at hand." In the 11th year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (186 1), the rebels of Zhejiang Pingyang Qianhui, led by Xie Gongda, attacked fenshuiguan, fought fiercely with the Qing soldiers and won a great victory. They killed nearly 100 Qing soldiers, including Zhang Zhenbiao, outside the bonfire camp, and marched straight into Fujian, occupying Tongshan City. Today, the site of fenshuiguan still exists, and there is a tomb of soldiers killed in the Qing Dynasty, which was built in Tongzhi for seven years. 1956 Fujian-Zhejiang highway (now national highway 104) runs through the north and south from the pass, and fenshuiguan is divided into two sections, with a residual wall of more than 500 meters, a height of about 2-3.5 meters and a width of 0.90 meters. It is of masonry structure. 1989 Fuding county people's government announced it as a county-level protection unit.
