After the mausoleum of Empress Dowager Cixi was bombed, the tomb hall was not as big as Qianlong, but there were countless treasures buried with it. Empress Dowager Cixi wears jewelry from head to toe, and the body of Empress Dowager Cixi alone is about five liters. To what extent is the entire Cixi Mausoleum luxurious, and how many treasures are buried with it? There is no way for future generations to imagine. According to the records of Sun Dianying's defection, Cixi Sun Dianying once recalled:
Before the body of Cixi entered the coffin, the bottom of the coffin was covered with three layers of gold beads and a layer of pearls, with emerald lotus leaves on the head and pink tourmaline lotus flowers at the feet. Wearing a pearl rockhopper, the largest pearl on the crown is as big as an egg, and its value is 65438+ 1 100 million taels of silver. There are 27 Buddha statues carved with gold, precious stones, jade and jade beside him.
Jade watermelons, melons, cabbages and peaches, plums, apricots and dates made of more than 200 precious stones are placed on both sides of the foot. Put a Yu Lian on the left and a jade coral tree on the right. In addition, there are 8 jade horses, 18 arhats and more than 700 jade articles. After the funeral, four liters of pearls and 2200 precious stones were poured into the coffin.
After the death of Cixi, there was a night pearl in her mouth, which split in two. When it is closed, it is a ball, transparent and dull. When it was closed, it showed a green cold light, and her hair could be seen within a hundred steps at night. It is said that this treasure can keep the body from melting. After the coffin of Cixi was split open, it seemed that she was sleeping. Then she gave the pearl to Mrs. Jiang through Dai Li.
After Sun Dianying robbed the tomb, he saw that the situation was serious. People in the Qing dynasty wanted to get rid of it quickly, especially Puyi and the old ministers of the Qing dynasty, so they tried their best to excuse their crimes. Song Meiling's joints were opened, and a number of rare treasures appeared in front of her eyes, including the oversized pearls on Cixi's crested phoenix and the night pearl in her mouth.
Sun Dianying also gave the Jiulong Sword in Chiang Kai-shek's Qianlong Tomb and a batch of rare antiques, calligraphy and painting. The gift for Song Ziwen is the emerald watermelon on Cixi's headrest. What was given to Kong Xiangxi was the jewel on Cixi's shoes. Senior officials such as Yan Xishan and Xu also have gifts. As a result of such layers of bribery, Sun Dianying finally saved the day, allowing Sun Dianying to get away with it, and finally went away.
