Buddhism opposes divination and fortune-telling, but why do many Buddhist believers study divination and fortune-telling?

Buddhism does not allow its followers to tell fortunes because it tells us not to be attached to fortune-telling. These fortune-telling and feng shui may have an effect on all living beings, and learning Buddhism can truly transcend fortune-telling.

There are two types of people who believe in Buddhism and do divination and fortune-telling; one is those who do not understand the correct teachings and are obsessed with numerology (of course, if you are just researching, it doesn’t matter. But it is best not to read these numerology and Feng Shui books.)

One is the enlightened person. In Buddhism, there are Manjushri nine palaces and eight trigrams, which are the most accurate fortune tellers. These are the tools of the sage to benefit sentient beings. All living beings are attached to numerology, and numerology has an effect on all living beings. Therefore, it is convenient to tell fortunes, so that all sentient beings can have confidence in Buddhism and plant some fields of blessing.
