The Qing Dynasty built a railway and passed through a grave. The man took out the memorial tablet given by Emperor Kangxi. Why did Cixi say that the railway was diverted?

The ancestral grave is a graveyard for burying ancestors, and the geomantic omen of the ancestral grave is related to the survival of future generations to bless their prosperity. But no matter how important your ancestral grave is, when the court wants to requisition land, you have to move, because it is difficult for a person to change the national plan. However, at the end of the Qing Dynasty, the imperial court wanted to build a railway, which was originally unblocked, but it happened to pass through an ancient tomb. Empress Dowager Cixi dared not touch it, and Emperor Guangxu dared not dig it. There is really no way, so we have to spend more money to repair it.

There used to be a tomb between Dongmaquan Village and Anbiaofa Village in Wuqing, which occupied about 1000 mu. Locals called it "Cao Tomb", which occupied about 1000 mu. The Cao family originated in the Ming Dynasty. Cao shizu was very awesome in the Ming dynasty. Cao Huayu is the manager of the South Hall of the Royal Guards, and Cao Huachun is even worse, but he is the prefect of the East Factory. Of course, it is now the Qing Dynasty, and it is useless for Cao Shi of the Ming Dynasty to be arrogant. The reason why no one dares to touch Cao's grave is because another ancestor of Cao's family is called Cao Chuan.

Cao Chuan is not famous in the official history, even rarely recorded, but he is a famous big shot in the Cao family. Cao Chuan is very good at being a man. Emperor Kangxi had a very good relationship with him. Every time he visits or inspects incognito, he will come to live in Cao Chuan's house. Cao Chuan is also good at pleasing the emperor. The emperor came to his house many times and felt very embarrassed, so he wrote a few words to Cao Jia and made a plaque. The emperor's plaque symbolizes the imperial power and the dignity of Kangxi. This plaque is hung with the nursing board of Cao grave, which protects Cao grave for a hundred years.

Later, during the Guangxu period, the imperial court began to build the Jingshan Railway, from Beijing to Shanhaiguan via Tianjin, but it was such a railway with a total length of 4 15 kilometers, but the route unfortunately passed through Cao's grave. If it is an ordinary family, this ancestral grave will have to be moved. After all, the railway construction was decided by the imperial court, and it was not to be taunted, but Cao Jia was not happy. It is unlucky to move one's ancestral graves. How can it move the territory of their ancestors? So they simply refused to move.

So Cao Cao took out the four-character plaque of "Xiangyan Puji" given by Emperor Kangxi and told Cixi where it was. Hearing this, Cixi knew that Kangxi had written the words himself, and felt that this grave was very important and could not offend the spirit of Emperor Kangxi. So Cixi discussed with Guangxu and decided to divert the railway and bypass a bend next to Cao Jiazu's tomb.

Cao fen did not escape the end of being dug in the end. In the early years of the Republic of China, wars were frequent, and Cao's ancestral grave was a large piece of oil and water, which had long been targeted by grave robbers, and all the gold, silver and jewels in it were looted. 1966, a group of fearless young people dug up Cao's grave, and all the cultural relics such as ingots and tombstones unearthed during the excavation were gone.
