Ganzhou mountainous area is dominated by Quaternary red soil, with a small amount of purple soil and mountain yellow soil. The soil layer is deep, and a high standard navel orange orchard can be built with a little modification.
The soil condition is good. Red loam has the characteristics of deep soil layer, acidic soil and low organic matter content, which is suitable for navel orange growth. Ganzhou is a typical subtropical humid monsoon climate, with four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, abundant sunshine, long frost-free period, large temperature difference between day and night in September ~165438+1October, and the same season of rain and heat, which is very beneficial to navel orange planting.
Gannan navel orange is listed as one of the eleven dominant agricultural products in China and has won the reputation of "China Famous Fruit". Gannan navel orange, as the only product in Jiangxi Province, was shortlisted in the list of geographical indication products negotiated by the Ministry of Commerce and the AQSIQ.
Characteristics of Gannan navel orange
1. Tree features: the tree is naturally round and compact, with a slightly open posture, and the middle and long branches are prone to drooping. The cambium and xylem of mature branches are red.
2. Fruit characteristics: the fruit is large, with an average single fruit weight of 235-250g, round or nearly round, mostly with closed navel, orange peel, red pulp, orange juice and seedless. The meat is crisp and tender, the flavor is sweet, and the sweetness and sourness are moderate.
3. Physicochemical characteristics of fruit: edible rate is 85%, fruit juice content is above 55%, soluble solid content is above 14%, the highest is 16%, sugar content is 10.5- 12%, and acid content is 0.8-0.9%.
4. Phenology: In Fuzhou, it germinates in early February, shoots in spring in mid-February, blooms in mid-late March, blooms in late March and blooms in early April (the flowering period is about 20 days). The first physiological fruit drop period is from early April to mid-April, the second physiological fruit drop period is from late April to May, and the fruit maturity period is 65438+late February.
