The starting point of Dongping Dongjiang Bridge in Dongguan City is connected with Dongping Avenue in Qishi Town, Dongguan City. The starting point direction and plane alignment are consistent with the existing Dongping Avenue. Go straight from south to north through Dongjiang Avenue, Dongjiang main channel and Longxi Bank Landscape Avenue, and then the destination will be connected with the planned Boluo Shuanglong Avenue. The total length of the route is 2.49km, of which the bridge length is 1.8 16km, the design speed of the main line is 80 km/h, and the total investment is about 547 million yuan.
In the past, vehicles from Qishi Town to Huizhou had to bypass Longxi Bridge in Qiaotou Town in the upper reaches of Dongjiang River or Shizhou Bridge in Shipai Town in the lower reaches. After Dongping Dongjiang Bridge is opened to traffic, it will become the main traffic road connecting Boluo and Longmen in Huizhou City in the northeast of Dongguan. The citizens of Qishi Town can go to Huizhou Boluo directly by Dongping Dongjiang Bridge without detour, which saves nearly 30 minutes compared with the past and greatly improves the traffic environment on both sides of Dongjiang River in Guan Hui.
It should be noted that the Shuanglong Avenue in Huizhou City, which is connected to the end of the bridge, is still under construction and cannot be opened to traffic simultaneously with the bridge. According to the traffic management needs of Huizhou section, the height of the bridge is limited to 2.5 meters, and ultra-high vehicles need to bypass.
