The origin of Wukesong
The history of Wukesong can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty. There is a "Ge Lao grave" where five brothers are buried. Their family planted a pine tree in front of each grave to comfort the dead. As time goes by, the glazed tiles of Beijing Palace gradually lose their luster, but this vigorous pine tree is still tall and straight. In the early years of the Republic of China, there were some unemployed poor people in Mentougou, carrying coal and riding camels to live in the city.
In that year, as a remote place, bandits often appeared here, and pedestrians were afraid to go alone. Practice tells us that we must make an appointment for a group of five or three people to get together and go to town. Where is the meeting place? This is Wukesong. These unemployed poor people sometimes have to guide businessmen in the city out of the city and where to meet. The two sides agreed on Wukesong, so that in the long run, the name of Wukesong will be opened.
