Falling Silla
1500 After the death of Sakyamuni, the Bodhisattva Diksitigarbha was born in Silla royal family, named Jin Qiaojue, with a kind eye and a wise disposition. He is seven feet tall, with strange bones towering above his head.
Sail out to sea and enter the Tang Dynasty
He worships Buddhism and Taoism, and once said to himself, "Of the six classics in the world and the Taoist Sanqing mantra, only the first meaning of Buddhism accords with my heart." So he abandoned the royal life and cut his hair and became a monk at the age of 24. In order to spread Buddhism widely and practice devoutly, during the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, he took a white dog named Pearl Krabs across the ocean and entered the Tang Dynasty.
Zhenxi Jiuhua
Jin Qiaojue, a Tibetan Bodhisattva, moved to Jiuzishan (Jiuhuashan) in Chizhou, south of the Yangtze River. Looking from a distance, I saw mountains and peaks, pines, bamboos, stones, waterfalls and idyllic villas in the mountains, all of which were interesting and overjoyed. He took the white dog to listen, climbed mountains and traveled all over the peaks of Jiuhua Mountain, and finally found the ideal place of practice-Shenguangling. Jin Qiaojue went to Shenguangling and lived in a cave. After painstaking cultivation, people in the mountains called him a monk in the cave.
Gong Min wetland
At this time, the master of Jiuhuashan generation, named Min Ranghe, was a philanthropist, building bridges and roads in Jiuzishan, practicing medicine and preaching to monks. People call him Gong Min. In Gong Min's house, fasting meetings are often held to entertain monks from all directions. There are ninety-nine monks who often come to his house to attend fasting meetings, and Gong Min deeply regrets that there are less than one hundred monks in his house.
On this day, Gong Min heard that an ascetic monk named Cave Monk came down from the mountain and lived in a cave in Nantai. I am very happy in my heart. I hope that the monks in the cave will also come to the fast meeting to realize the wishes of a hundred monks.
On July 30 this year, Duke Min invited the monks on the mountain to hold a fast meeting and sent his son to Nantai to personally invite the monks to attend.
Jin Qiaojue thought that as a stranger, he should also ask the benefactor for a foothold. So I gladly kept the appointment and came to Fujian. When Gong Min saw the monk coming, he bowed before him and asked, "If the monk doesn't mind, please come more often in the future." . After thanking Jin Qiaojue, he expressed his wish that "people from other places, young monks, come to your place to practice, hope that the benefactor will be merciful and lend a place to the poor monks to live".
Gong Min asked, "I don't know where the monk got the Feng Shui. How big is the Dojo?"
Jin Qiaojue said, "It's enough for the poor monk to ask for the place of cassock!"
Gong Min said, "Why is it so hard? There are 99 peaks in Jiuzi Mountain, and mountains, rivers and water are the territory of the elderly. Monks can choose at will. "
At this time, Jin Qiaojue said, "The benefactor is really generous." . Then he took off his cassock and showed it in the air. Suddenly, the mountain wind suddenly rises, and the cassock rises higher and higher, and grows bigger and bigger. Finally, 99 peaks and ridges of Jiuzi Mountain were covered together.
Gong Min was shocked and fell to the ground, saying, "Folks, I don't know what the monk is doing here today! I would like to dedicate 99 peaks and square gardens in Jiuzi Mountain to monks as Dojo. Please accept it. " Jin Qiaojue quickly reached out and pounced on Gong Min. He even said, "Thank you, thank you." Later, Gong Min was deeply influenced by Buddhism. He sent his son to become a monk first, and then he became a monk himself. Father and son worship gold and hide as teachers. Since then, Gong Min and his son and Jin Qiaojue have worked together in Jiuzishan for religious penance. The result is a positive result.
Niangniangtajing
Finally, Di Chin's mother, eager for her son, visited Jiuhua Mountain herself. Facing the determination to practice in Jindizang, she stayed in Jiuhua Mountain.
One day, Kim said to his mother, "There is a well in this square, and there is a world under the well. You can escape from the world of concubines, avoid the suffering of hell, and go to court. "
Then, one evening, the queen saw her son studying in the evening on the platform by the pool, while she was by the well, but she clearly saw her son chanting at the bottom of the well. She was so surprised that she jumped into the well regardless of everything. The monk hurried to save people, but couldn't catch them. At this time, I saw the sky in the west, and dusk rose, revealing the figure of an empress.
People who know it all say that it is the magical power of the Bodhisattva, surpassing the mother's ascension to heaven. Later, the world built a seven-story tower on the well to commemorate it. The tower was originally located in the southeast of Huacheng Temple Square in Jiuhuashan Mountain and was destroyed in the late Qing Dynasty. Now, the original tower site has been dug, and the original appearance of the square has been restored, and the Fude people will rebuild the tower.
Shanshenquan
When the younger brother was practicing penance, it was often said that he sat on the east cliff. During the day, he climbed to the top of the cave and meditated on the rocks. When you are hungry, dig wild fruits such as Polygonatum sibiricum and Pueraria lobata to fill your stomach. When he is thirsty, he drinks mountain springs. At night, Shan Ye was qi-deficient and cold, and her robe was tight. Once, as soon as he settled down, he suddenly felt cold all over. When he opened his eyes, he saw a deadly snake "Agkistrodon". Hiding in the soil did not disturb the poisonous snake, but it was bitten by a sting and did not move. Suddenly, a woman appeared, made a gift and gave medicine, saying, "My child is ignorant, and I would like to go out of the spring to make up for it." At length, the clear spring oozes from the stone crevice, which is sweet and cool. From then on, you don't have to drink mountain spring water. This woman is the god of Jiuhua Mountain, and the spring water she worships is called Beauty Spring.
Zhuge jiansi
One day, the old Zhuge Festival in the local township led a group of old people to climb the Range Rover, and the weather was beautiful. The scenery in the mountains is charming, inaccessible and floating like a fairyland. However, I found a monk living alone in a stone room, with his eyes closed, cooking mud and a small amount of rice with a broken tripod. I was shocked and cried with the old people: if the monk is an ascetic, we can't worship normally. So he raised money to build a temple and invited the master to live a peaceful life. When the villagers nearby heard about this incident, they gathered from all directions to cut down trees and make stones. Under the guidance of Zhuge Festival, they built a new Buddhist temple for the golden land of Huacheng Valley, named Huacheng Temple.

From then on, the master began to accept disciples in Huacheng Temple, and then he was widely educated and became famous. It not only won the concern and support of local people, but also won the praise and support of local officials and courts.
Time flies, the sun and the moon fly like a shuttle. Ten years have passed quickly. When things spread to Silla, the royal family heard that Jin Qiaojue had opened such a big Dojo in Datang and felt that Jin Qiaojue was really outstanding. They immediately discussed inviting Jin Qiaojue to return to China to preach in Silla as a national protector. And decided to send Jin Qiaojue's two uncles, who are also the smartest and most prestigious ministers in Silla, to Datang to welcome Jin Qiaojue back to China.
The two envoys immediately boarded the ship with the king's royal letter. When they left, Jin Qiaojue's wife specially came to see the two uncles off, and repeatedly urged Jin Qiaojue to return to China anyway.
Soon after the two envoys went to sea, they encountered an unprecedented storm, and the stormy waves attacked their ship. The sail was torn to pieces, the mast was broken into three pieces, and the storm lasted for three days and nights. There was nothing the two ministers could do. After five days and five nights of sailing, they finally arrived in Datang.
After the Tang Dynasty, the two ministers were hungry and penniless, so they had to beg for a living and went through hardships, and finally came to the foot of Jiuhua Mountain. When they looked up, they saw that the whole Jiuhua Mountain was shrouded in mist, with undulating peaks, just like Bai Lianhua in full bloom. I was deeply impressed: what a nice place! Looking at the road leading to the mountain, almost all the mountain roads are pilgrims from all over the country who come to Jiuhua to make pilgrimages. Young and old, coming and going, an endless stream. The two ministers, seeing this scene, thought, can he go back to such a good place with so many people coming to worship? It seems that it is not so easy for us to invite him back this time!
So the two ministers, while walking together, although we have the king's imperial book around us, this is Datang, not Silla. If Jin Qiaojue doesn't accept the imperial book, we can't help him; Although we are his uncles, he has become a monk, and all kinds of family rules and regulations have no effect on him ... The two uncles keep thinking about it, and the more they think about it, the more difficult it becomes, and the future is unpredictable. Suddenly, they remembered that Silla had a custom of occupying land first. So they decided not to disturb Jin Qiaojue, but secretly inserted the gold hairpin engraved with Silla's name in the Nanping platform of Jin Qiaojue's original temple, and then quietly went down the mountain.
Soon after, the two ministers returned to Jiuhua Mountain. They swaggered to the gate of Huacheng and asked the young monk at the gate to tell Jin Qiaojue that his two uncles had come to see him. When Jin Qiaojue heard that his uncle was coming, he immediately came out to pick up his two uncles into the temple. It is natural that my nephew and uncles meet again today after ten years' separation. The two uncles told Jin Qiaojue all the hard work. Just didn't say anything about Jin Chai's land occupation. Jin Qiaojue also told his two uncles about these years, and asked about the royal family and family by the way. Seeing that the time had come, the two great uncles immediately took out the imperial book from their arms, presented it with both hands, and gave it to Lord Jin Qiao, then told him in detail that the royal family would ask him to go back to be lord protector. Finally, I also mentioned the situation at Jin Qiaojue's home: "Your mother has been crying alone since you left home, and her eyes are blind from crying. She kept saying your name in her sleep. Over the years, it's really thanks to your wife's busy and meticulous service. On the day we boarded the ship and went to sea, your wife came to see us off, so we'll invite you home anyway. Jin Qiaojue took the imperial book and looked at it. The two uncles took the opportunity to go forward and earnestly advised him to go back, saying that even if you don't want to stay in Silla, you might as well go home and have a look. Jin Qiaojue pondered silently for a while, and finally looked up and said, Amitabha, although my mother has worked hard for me for most of her life, my wife has also worked hard for my parents. However, I have become a monk. A monk, after becoming a monk, no longer asks about other people's affairs. Besides, what I am doing now is not to covet personal happiness, but to save the suffering of the people all over the world. I can never harm the happiness of all beings for my own sake. Moreover, missionary work has no geographical boundaries, and its purpose is the same in Datang and Silla. So I can only stick to it and stay between the mountains and rivers of Jiuhua Mountain forever. Never go back to Silla's old country again?
When the two uncles heard this, as expected, my nephew really didn't plan to go back. The two exchanged glances and chatted together: nephew, you really don't want to go back to China. We can't finish the mission given to us by the royal family, and we won't go back, but please explain it to us. .
Jin Qiaojue smiled and said, I wonder what my uncle said?
The two uncles said, "Before you came to China, we bought this land, and Jin Chai is proof." .
Jin Qiaojue said, "If this happens, I will immediately go back to Silla with my uncle. If it's not as good as my uncle said, I wonder if my uncle can agree to my nephew's request?

Jin Qiaojue said, My nephew wants to ask my uncle to stay in this mountain from now on and guard the gate for me. I wonder if it's possible. The two sides spoke in unison: it's a deal.
So the three of them came to Nantai together, and the two uncles were familiar with each other because they only inserted Jin Chai a few days ago. Led Jin Qiaojue straight to the card issuing office. Far away, I saw a five-inch-long gold hairpin stuck in the ground intact. When the second uncle saw it, he laughed and said, nephew, let's come to Jiuhua Mountain first, with the gold hairpin buried in the ground as proof.
See Jin Qiaojue unhurriedly, slowly came to the front of Jin Chai, bypassing Jin Chai first, and then smiled and said to Uncle: Please come and see quickly, thinking that something has changed, and watch quickly. I saw Jin Qiaojue bend down slowly, gently pull open the soil around the hair clasp, and then pointed to the hair clasp and said, Look, uncle, your gold hairpin is right in my copper coin's eyes. Which one of us comes first?
The two uncles bent down to have a look, didn't they? Jin Chai is neither biased nor inclined, just inserted in the eye of a copper coin! Pick up the copper coin and look carefully. It's really a Singapore dollar. The two men looked at each other, speechless.
It turned out that Jin Qiaojue's two uncles had just inserted Jin Chai down the mountain that day. Jin Qiaojue happened to pass by Nantai and found the glittering gold hairpin at a glance. On closer inspection, he immediately recognized this as the golden hairpin of his two uncles. After a little thought, he immediately gently pulled up the gold hairpin, pulled open the floating soil below, took out a Silla copper coin and put it below.
The two uncles thought that they really put the gold hairpin in the copper hole of Jin Qiaoxuan, so they had to keep their promise and stay in Jiuhua Mountain and settle down at the foot of the mountain. After their death, the local people built a palace in their original place to commemorate them, which is the "second temple" that has survived to this day.
Since then, even the monks in Silla have learned that Bodhisattva's asceticism in Jiuhua is different from others, and they have traveled across the ocean at a constant speed to seek dharma.
