Sea rod flying hook is the best choice for floating fishing for silver carp and bighead carp. However, there is a big difference in the assembly of the fishing group. The key is to determine the length of the waterline based on the depth of the swimming layer of silver carp and bighead carp on the premise of accurate long-range casting. The length of the waterline needs to be constantly changed based on factors such as water conditions, water temperature, fish conditions, weather, etc. This poses a difficult issue for the fishing group. If the traditional adjustment method is used and the waterline length is more than 1 meter, the reserved line outside the rod tip will be too long, which will affect the casting or make it impossible to cast. This problem can be better solved by tying "auxiliary lines" to the sea pole (Figure 1).
1. Composition of the fishing group
1. "Side line". It is made of a fishing line about 1.5-2 meters long, folded in half, and connected to the main line with a deadlock (the one connected to the float is set as the secondary line ①, and the one connected to the flying hook is set as the secondary line ②, ① is slightly shorter than ②).
2. Space beans. Use slightly larger space beans so that the double "secondary line" can pass through the middle. It can slide up and down to adjust the length of the waterline. Sliding up will lengthen the waterline, sliding down will shorten the length of the waterline. It is a very critical component. If necessary, two space beans can be installed in a row to prevent misalignment.
Silver carp and bighead carp are naturally timid and fearful of people. Under normal circumstances, they will not move close to the shore. They mostly swim in the deep water area in the center of the reservoir, especially the larger silver carp and bighead carp. This may be one of their "distinctive" features. Therefore, it is difficult to catch silver carp and bighead carp near the shore, and the fishing point should be in the deep water in the center of the reservoir. When the density of silver carp and bighead carp is very high, fish can also be caught near the shore, but only small silver carp and bighead carp are caught. Therefore, it is very important to "fish for silver carp and fish far away". At the same time, attention should be paid to accurately throwing the hook bait at the same "point" every time, so as to form a relatively concentrated "atomized bait area" and make the fishing point a real "den". If you throw "a hammer in the east and a stick in the west" randomly, it will be difficult to form a "nest" and the effect of luring fish will be much worse. Many people are unable to catch fish because they choose fishing spots improperly and the fishing spots do not form a "nest". This is an important reason.
2. About bait
Because silver carp and bighead carp have different sucking methods, the bait used for fishing silver carp and bighead carp also has its own particularity and pertinence, which is the key to fishing silver carp and bighead carp. The bait must have two key points at the same time: one is sour and smelly, and the other is dispersion and atomization. Although there has been a "diversification" trend in the smell of silver carp and bighead carp bait in the past two years, the author believes that the basic habits of silver carp and bighead carp that are acid-loving and bighead carp that are odor-loving have never changed. It is essential to use fermented sour smell bait when fishing for silver carp and bighead carp. Less. The bait must also have good atomization performance; this is determined by the way silver carp and bighead carp feed by "drinking and sucking" floating objects in the water. The main function of "atomization" is to make it "convenient" for silver carp and bighead carp to suck. The "floating objects" cover the bomb hook (naked hook). When sucking the "floating objects", the naked hook is sucked in to achieve the purpose of fishing. Among these two key points, the main function of "smell" is to lure fish, and the main function of "atomization" is fishing. And "atomization" is more important than "smell"; a bait ball that never dissolves after entering the water may attract fish with its smell, but it is difficult to actually catch silver carp and bighead carp--occasionally hook up one. It's possible, but that's not "catching" fish. Also, the finer the bait ball materials should be, the better, because practice has proven that the atomized "floating objects" in powder form are much more effective than flakes.
For floating fishing for silver carp and bighead carp on a sea pole, the "big drift without falling fishing method" is generally used. The combination: first put a space bean on the fishing line (mainly to control the big fish float, the purpose is to adjust the depth of the fishing float), then put on a big fish float that can slide on the fishing line, and then tie a dead buckle on the front end of the fishing line (for hooking bait), and finally hang the hook bait. Before casting, the rocker reels in the line, and the big fish drifts to the "dead hook" position, which is quite close to the hook bait, which is very convenient for casting the hook bait. The advantage of this combination is that it is easy and quick to operate and allows you to fish deep and shallow. The disadvantage is that the floating hook bait is easy to deviate from the nest when the wind is strong. Therefore, when there is strong wind, you can put on a large hole sinker that can slide freely on the fishing line before putting on the big fishing float, so as to change "floating fishing" into "fixed-point fishing". In the fishing group, special attention should be paid to the hook. First, the hook should be sharp, preferably a new hook, so that it can be easily penetrated into the fish's mouth. Second, a larger hook should be used, because silver carp and bighead carp have large mouths, so there is no need to worry about "swallowing" them. The main reason why the hook is not inserted is that the lips of silver carp and bighead carp are tender and the lip bones are easily brittle. If the hook is small, it will easily come out, but if the hook is large, it will hang firmly. According to practice, under normal circumstances, it is the tail hook of the bomb hook that enters the fish's mouth. Therefore, some people tie a "tail hook" with eldest son line on the bomb hook, or make their own "silver carp hook" with 2 to 4 eldest son line hooks, and the effect is very good.
4. About drifting
After silver carp and bighead carp are hooked, they usually drift black. But sometimes the drift phenomenon also has different manifestations: silver carp is hooked, and the float sinks, floats, or moves laterally; bighead carp is hooked, and the float sometimes spins in place or shakes slightly. These phenomena all indicate that the silver carp and bighead carp caught are not very big, usually about 1 kilogram. If the float is shaking up and down rapidly, it must be a small miscellaneous fish that is making trouble with the hook. You can ignore it until the float lies down on the water surface and the float stops shaking (there is no bait on the hook), then retract the rod and change the bait. When a small miscellaneous fish disturbs the hook and the float suddenly stops, but the float does not lie on the water surface (indicating that there is bait on the hook), it indicates that the big silver carp and bighead carp have entered the "den".
After throwing the rod, if it is the "non-falling fishing method", after the fish floats to stand, you should lift the rod and pull the line to make all the fishing line enter the water, and then pull back the reel lock. The purpose of this is to prevent the fishing line from floating on the water surface and pull the floating and hooked bait out of the "nest" when there is wind. If it is a "fixed-point fishing method" with a sinker, immediately after casting the rod, raise the rod and pull the line to make the heavy drop fall to the bottom smoothly. After it floats, insert the rod and tighten the line; if the sinker does not come out of the water, it means that the sinker is entangled with the fishing line, or The sinker is entangled on the hook, or the sinker, hook, float, and line are entangled with each other, and the sinker cannot fall to the bottom. At this time, you can only reel in the line and re-hook the bait for casting. Since the "fixed-point fishing method" is most prone to hook, sinker and line entanglement, it is best to adopt the "no-sink fishing method".
After the fish is hooked, there is generally no need to raise the rod, just straighten the fishing line and slowly reel in the line. This is because the tender bones in the lips of silver carp and bighead carp are brittle, and strong lifting of the pole and rapid retrieval of the line can easily cause decoupling and running away of fish. After being hooked, the struggling and escaping abilities of silver carp are much greater than that of bighead carp, which generally just follows the retrieve line and appears to be relatively docile. Regardless of the size of silver carp and bighead carp, the fish must be fished ashore with a net, because its lips, flesh and bones are too fragile and tender, and the fish must not be lifted ashore.
