Introduction to Jia Pingwa

Her original name is Jia Pingwa, born in 1952 in Danfeng, Shaanxi. Graduated from the Chinese Department of Northwest University in 1975. Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Writers Association, deputy to the Xi'an Municipal People's Congress, and chairman of the Xi'an Municipal Writers Association. Started publishing works in 1974. He is the author of novel collections "Jia Pingwa's Award-winning Novella Collection" and "Jia Pingwa's Selected Works", novels "Shangzhou" and "White Night", and the autobiographical novel "I am a Farmer", etc. "Twelfth and First Moon" won the 3rd National Outstanding Novella Award of the Chinese Writers Association; "Full Moon" won the 1978 National Outstanding Short Story Award; "The Wasted City" won the 1997 French Femina Literary Award; "Impetuous" won the 1987 The Mobil Pegasus Literary Award in the United States was recently awarded the "French and French Honorary Award for Literature and Art" by the French Ministry of Cultural Exchange.
