Guangfu Temple, a famous Buddhist temple in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province, is located on Yushan Mountain in the northwest of Changshu City. From Yanxing to Zhongxing in the Southern Qi Dynasty, Ni Deguang's home was a temple, formerly known as Dabei Temple. In the Southern Dynasties, Liang Datong was overhauled and expanded for five years, and it was renamed "Fushou Temple". Because the temple is next to Duanlongxi, it is also called "Duanshan Temple".
Guangfu Temple is now a famous Buddhist temple in China and a key cultural relic protection unit. One is because Kofukuji's architecture has a long history, and the other is because the Buddhist culture here has a far-reaching influence. Every year, people who are interested in Buddhist culture come here to worship Buddha for advice.
The main buildings of Guangfu Temple are the Heavenly King Hall, Ursa Major Hall, Huayan Pagoda and Guanyin Pagoda. What impressed me the most was that there was once a osmanthus tree in the Tang Dynasty in Xiaofu Temple, which was said to look like a big umbrella. However, it is a miracle that this thousand-year-old tree died in 1953, but it can live for so long.
Although Kofukuji has a very long history, it has also experienced many disasters in these thousands of years, including a dozen light earthquakes in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. We can imagine that there must be many disasters such as war disasters in so many dynasties, but even so, Joy still exists now, which is another charm of it.
