The organizational history of Haojiang District

In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Chaoyang County was established, and Haojiang belonged to Chaoyang County.

In the Song Dynasty, it belonged to Fengen Township, Chaoyang County.

In the 14th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1381), the capital of recruitment and the capital of Shapu were established. In the twenty-eighth year of Hongwu (1395), the Zhaoning Inspection Department was established in Dazha, with jurisdiction over the two capitals of Zhaoning and Shapu.

In the early Qing Dynasty, the Zhaoning Inspection Department moved eastward to Haobu.

During the Republic of China, the capital was removed and districts were established, and the third district of Chaoyang County was established. The district office was located in Dahao City. The third district is under the jurisdiction of the original recruitment capital and Shapu capital.

In August 1952, the Eleventh District was established from the Third District. District 3 (Dahao District), District 11 (Hepu District).

On June 10, 1955, the three agricultural townships of Wunan, Shangtang and Huayang in the third district of Chaoyang County were placed under the jurisdiction of the eleventh district.

In December 1956, the district was removed and transformed into a township (town). The Dahao area, except for the Queshi part, consists of five townships: Dahao Town, Guang'ao, Chaoguang, Hepu, Zhuyuan and Qiantang.

In November 1957, Chaoyang County was adjusted into 3 towns and 27 townships. Except for the Queshi part, the Dahao area was adjusted into Dahao Town, Hepu Township, and Zhuyuan Township.

On March 28, 1958, Dahao Town, Hepu Township, and Zhuyuan Township were classified as suburbs of Shantou City. In September, Hongqi People's Commune was established in Dahao Town, Hepu Township and Zhuyuan Township, with its headquarters in Dahao.

In March 1959, Hongqi Commune was renamed Dahao Commune. In May of the same year, Dahao Commune was divided into two communes, Dahao Fishery Commune and Dahao Agricultural Commune.

On March 21, 1961, Dahao Fishery Commune and Dahao Agricultural Commune were placed under Chaoyang County. In May, after the merger of Dayu and Danong Communes, Dahao People's Commune and Hepu People's Commune were established.

On November 15, 1974, the Shantou Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a notice of Shanzi (74) No. 48, Dahao Commune, with the Haojiang River as the boundary, and the Sanlian, Zhupu, Sanhe, Xidui (Xidun), Xiawu, Fangdiao, Oyster Team, Guangao, Shizhen, Baohang, Donghu, Gezhou, Chiju, Qingju, Dahao, Daju, Chigang 19 brigades including , Daitou and Qinglan were placed in the suburbs of Shantou City.

On January 8, 1975, four brigades, including the residents of Majiao, Fenggang, Nanshan and Majiao, which were formerly part of Dahao Commune, were placed under the jurisdiction of Dahao Commune in the suburbs of Shantou City. On August 16, six brigades, including Zhupu, Sanlian, Maozhou, Gechen, Gezhu, and Gezhou, and a total of 85 production teams affiliated to Dahao Commune were placed under the jurisdiction of Queshi Commune.

In July 1980, the Dahao People's Commune was abolished and reestablished as Dahao Town in the suburbs of Shantou City.

In January 1984, Dahao Town and Queshi Commune in the suburbs were divided into Dahao District. In February, Chaoyang County completed the transformation of communes into districts and the establishment of townships. Hepu Commune was changed to Hepu District, Chaoyang County.

In the second half of 1986, Chaoyang County removed districts and established townships (towns). On December 17, Dahao District abolished the organizational structure of 14 small towns, including Qinglan Street and Zhupu, and established the organizational structure of Zhuyuan and Guang'ao townships, while retaining the three streets of Dahao, Majiao and Queshi.

In February 1987, Hepu District was changed to Hepu Town, Chaoyang County.

On April 6, 1991, the scope of Shantou Special Economic Zone was expanded to the entire urban area of ??Shantou. On September 14, the six municipal districts of Anping, Tongping, Park, Jinsha, Dahao, and Suburban Districts in Shantou City and the two former Shantou Special Economic Zone Longhu and Guangao districts were adjusted to the four municipalities of Longhu, Jinyuan, Shengping, and Dahao. Jurisdiction. Dahao District retains its original organizational structure and governs three subdistricts: Dahao, Queshi, and Majiao, and two townships, Zhuyuan and Guang'ao. The administrative area under its jurisdiction remains unchanged. The district government is located on Dahaofuqian Road.

On January 7, 1992, Dahao District abolished the organizational structure of Guang'ao Township and Zhuyuan Township, and established Guang'ao and Zhuyuan Streets within the original jurisdictions as the dispatched agencies of the Dahao District Government. , the station remains unchanged. Dahao District has jurisdiction over five sub-district offices: Dahao, Queshi, Zhuyuan, Majiao and Guangao.

On April 25, 1994, Hepu Town in Chaoyang City was placed under the jurisdiction of Shantou City, the organizational structure of Hepu Town was revoked, and Hepu District (county level) was established. On July 14, Hepu District established three streets: Sanhe, Yuxin and Binhai.

On January 8, 2002, the areas under the original jurisdiction of Queshi and Zhuyuan Streets in Dahao District were merged into Queshi Street.

The office is located on the east side of the Zhupu section of Leiguang Road (the original address of the Zhuyuan Subdistrict Office).

On January 29, 2003, Dahao District and Hepu District of Shantou City were abolished and Haojiang District of Shantou City was established.
